The Primrose Cottage is a rustic one bedroom seaside bungalow situated on the bluff above Moosebec Reach. Built in the early 1900's in the Craftsman style. Modern plumbing and filtered water added later. Easy walk to the local library, historic society and marina. Easy drive to many points of interest. Local hiking on Great Wass Island & Bar Island are within a 10 minute drive.
A perfect spot to relax and take in the views or use as a launching point for Maine adventures.
New roof and fresh outdoor paint in 2016.
Access to cottage, lawn and shoreline.
The cottages are located on a bank above the shoreline. Moosebec Reach is a working lobster boat harbor. The shore/beach is perfect for hunting for sea glass, discovering things that wash ashore and watching for seals and eagles, not for swimming or playing in the sand. Water is very cold. Tides are about 15 feet, so shore looks very different between high and low tides.
The property is completely non-smoking, both inside and outside the cottage. A fee of $100 will be billed if the cottage smells of smoke.
- Renters must be at least 21 yrs old.
- Pet owners must show proof of up-to-date vaccines & flea control.
- Smoking is not permitted inside or outside the cottage, or anywhere on the property.
