The Hollinger House is a very special place. You step back into time once you walk into the door. The house was so welcoming and exquisite. I always wanted to visit Lancaster County for the deep roots and historical significance during the revolutionary period leading to our nation's civil war. Theodore made sure my reservations at the Hollinger was fitting to my intentions of celebrating an 8th year anniversary with my girlfriend. He made certain that we had the perfect room to set the mood. We stayed in the Michael, was decorated in French Provencial. There is a binder in each room that tells the real life story of how the house was restored to its current state and the incredible journey and challenges it took for Linda and Gus to achieve the dream along with their village of friends and family who love them and believed in them. A tour of the house was given as we met our innkeepers Theodore and Brandy. The home was beautifully decorated with incredible detail and love from the founders, Linda and Gus whose vision was to build something very special. This home will appeal to you in your own special way and encourage you to visit this home to step back from the rat race and reflect. I definitely will be coming back again as there is not another place with this type of positive energy. Breakfast is always different and fresh from local farmers prepared by the innkeepers. The Hollinger is very close to major attractions, shopping, restaurants, and points of interests that bring you to visit Hollinger House. After staying here, I am more inclined to staying in bed and breakfast establishments than the conventional hotels. I felt very safe and quite honestly at home. The house had decent WiFi and two electric car chargers for Tesla vehicles and other electric vehicles. I was very impressed the house was decorated for fall and Thanksgiving. The staff was starting to decorate for Christmas keeping in line in with tradition. Plan your trip and build your special moments here at the Hollinger House.
This place is a gem of a bed and breakfast; it's beautiful, run by two lovely hosts, and well located. Judging by the fact that there is still availability here, it is something of a hidden treasure. I have been encouraging my friends and family to stay here before it gets completely booked up!
I was very impressed with the beauty of the house. built in 1860 the house has been restored to transport you back in time. I was greeted by a very lovely hostess, who gave me a quick tour before showing me to my room. the bed was quite comfortable, the next morning I enjoyed hot coffee and a very delicious breakfast. I highly recommend staying here.
