Romantic retreat with gorgeous views. Close to Sechelt, beaches, hiking, boating, fishing, whale watching, artisans, restaurants & the best that the Sunshine Coast has to offer. You'll love the privacy, tranquility, views and sunsets. Whales, seals and other sea life are commonly seen off our beach. An unforgettable retreat for couples, adventurers, business travellers, small families and furry friends. In the off-season cozy up to a fire and a complimentary bottle of wine while you storm-watch.
The architecturally designed private coach house in Halfmoon Bay is easily accessible from Redrooffs Road via a short gravel driveway. A set of stairs leads you to a deck with a 10' overhanging roof and a frameless glass rail system, from which you will experience unsurpassed southwest views of Merry Island (and its manned lighthouse) and South Thormanby Island, and, of course, sunsets in the western sky over Vancouver Island. Inside you will find a living room with a modern wood burning fireplace and leather furniture for you to curl up in when the weather turns stormy. You will also enjoy a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a bedroom with a queen bed, and a large bathroom with a glass shower. Breakfast and a complimentary bottle of wine are provided. The beach can be accessed by a 400 ft. path that leads through a mature west coast forest. (For those with mobility issues, we offer the convenience of a owner-operated tramway to take you down to and up from the beach). A sand spit, which emerges when tides fall to below 3 ft., offers a wonderful opportunity to jog, frolic with your dog, or simply beachcomb and site see. Guests can look for white-sided dolphins and killer, grey and humpback whales as well as seals, otters, herons, eagles and other wildlife from our lot's private seawall or from the many logs that populate the pebble beach. We are a 12 minute drive north of Sechelt and a 20 minute south of Pender Harbour. Golfers will find 3 golf courses within a 25 minute drive. Kayakers and boaters will love the many small coves and other sights around Halfmoon Bay and bikers will love Coast Gravity, a world class park that challenges the best from around the world. Our place is surrounded by excellent hiking trails, provincial parks and beaches. There are many things to do and experience in the area, and we would be happy to assist in planning your stay on the Sunshine Coast.
