I've been back home about 4 hours now and I still can't stop thinking about what extraordinary experience we had in Green Bay. John's home, his generosity and his thoughtfulness were a big part of that. We were 4 guys (two Packer fans, two Seahawk fans) going to Green Bay to visit Football's holy land. Our expectations couldn't have been more exceeded. John's house is beautiful and extremely comfortable. All of the Airbnb categories one is asked to rate were addressed to a T. We were just looking for a nice place to crash that didn't cost more than hotel rooms and John's house was so much more than that. Visiting Green Bay and going to a Packers game is truly a remarkable and unusual experience, not just in the context of American sports culture, but unique from anything else in the world given Green Bay's location and the Packers' unique and storied history. John gave us great advice on how to get to the stadium (he was spot on and saved us tons of time in traffic), he suggested when we should arrive and that we might even be invited into a random tailgate party (even while wearing Hawks gear) and we were! The game didn't turn out great for half of us but it was a great trip all the same and I know all 4 of us will never forget it and how grateful we were for the opportunity to meet John and stay at his place.
