We have stayed in quite a few Airbnb apartments by now. By far, this has been our best experience. Our email queries were answered promptly. My flight came in at 2am and still our considerate hosts were gracious to let me arrive at such an awful hour. That was just the beginning of the kind hospitality of our perfect hosts, who made our stay joyous, comfortable and immensely pleasurable. Our kind and considerate hosts made this our home away from home! We highly recommend this Apartment. Judith gave many helpful recommendations. Since I arrived before my husband, Judith even found a facilitator, who showed me the ropes to orient me to a new city and country. Thank you!!!!
The apartment – The open space, beautifully designed by the owners is fantastic – merging older Jaffa architecture with modern sensibilities in hues of gold and blue. This very clean apartment, on the 1st floor (British ground floor) has a living area, dining area, kitchen area and in the loft – a bedroom area with the bathroom. The apartment is in a very quiet neighborhood. The apartment is fully equipped with ample storage space, fridge (stocked with food and beverages), oven, tea, coffee snacks, aluminum foil, cling wrap, paper towel, cooking oil, spices, dish washing soap and much more. The washing machine is easy to use (liquid soap is provided). The living area has books, many maps, a bus card (most useful!) and even hats! The bathroom has a hair dryer and many soaps. Forgot to bring a plug adopter? You’ll find one on top of the cupboard!
Jaffa now is certainly a happening place – Warehouses of the past have been replaced by rows of shops selling souvenirs to designer clothes and costume jewelry) during the day. In the evenings, these shops largely close down, chairs and tables are pulled out into narrow streets to create open-air restaurants filled with young people and much gaiety. These areas are so close, yet far enough to keep the apartment very quiet.
Access – through the rear (supermarket) one can access Yefet Street (fish monger), old Jaffa, the clock tower, the Jaffa Tourist office and the sea. Through the side – straight to the flea market and many fantastic cafes, restaurants, shops and Olei Tzion Street, leading to Jerusalem Avenue (Butcher, grocery store) with many bus stops. Through the front – Margoza café, Abu Hassan (best hummus) and another access to Jerusalem Avenue, Neve Tsedek, Carmel market, Dizengoff mall, the Art museum and much more. Jaffa is magical. Hope, you will explore the side streets as well. We would love to return.
