My two bedroom apartment is actually beside the Liffey with views out of every room of the famous Ha'penny bridge. All the main tourist sites are only minutes away. Walk across either of the two pedestrian bridges and you're into the heart of Temple Bar. Close enough to get into the 24/7 fun, but not so close that the party is under your window. The apartment is newly refurbished to a high spec and can sleep 2 doubles or double + twin. It has high speed wifi, internet TV and full kitchen.
You won't find anywhere more central Dublin without actually sleeping in Temple Bar square. Go downstairs, get a coffee and home-made pastry from the Italian family coffee-shop, walk across the bridge and Temple Bar is at your feet. My apartment is in a quiet block and right in the middle of everything Dublin city centre has to offer. O'Connell St, Grafton St, Trinity College, National Gallery, Stephens Green, Dublin Castle, and the Guinness factory are all within a few minutes walk away. The apartment sleeps 4 people in two double bedrooms that we can either make up as a twin + double, or two comfortable doubles. The apartment was recently refurbished and we upgraded to a pumped water system to give better shower pressure. Towels, linen etc are all provided and we have high speed internet.
The apartment is on the first floor of a quiet, clean, well maintained, secure block with a lift. If you'd had enough sight-seeing, there is a private communal garden area, accessible outside the lift on the ground floor, with benches where you can sit outside with your book and enjoy the weather.
If you're arriving early or checking out late, we'll do our best to accommodate you. But if it's not possible, there are coin-operated luggage lockers in the Jervis St shopping centre around the corner, where you can dump your bags while you go and explore Dublin.
Gary or myself will meet you, show you into the apartment and help you with local directions. If there's anything specific you want to see or do, during your stay, just tell us and we'll help you find it. Then Gary will be on call to help with any problems or question that you might have. He has lived in central Dublin for years and has lots of local knowledge.
The apartment has a fully functional kitchen, with all the implements and pans etc needed to cook up home meals if you, or your wallet, want a break from Dublin's restaurant scene. Speaking of which, you should take a walk around George's St for a culinary tour of the planet. If you fancy something special and unusual, I'd recommend you make a reservation at the tapas bar at Fade St Social (if you can get a table). If it's an extra special occasion, try Chapter One up on Parnell Square, they win Ireland's best restaurant award on a regular basis.
NO STAG/HEN/PARTY groups please. No loud noise in the block after 8pm. Please respect my neighbours.
Note: Guests are advised to have their own personal insurance policy to cover accidents, injury or loss/damage to property. The host accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage or personal injury during their stay. In booking you agree to these terms and conditions.
Hi, I'm a Dublin native now living mainly in Italy where I work as an independent consultant. But Dublin is still where I call home and I get back as often as I can. This is a great block with good neighbours and right in the heart of everything. Sadly I rarely get to meet my guests, because when I'm in town I'm staying there myself, but my friend Gary is usually my stand-in and he's a brilliant host. If you've never been to Dublin before, you're in for a great time.
