The location is quiet, yet in the heart of the city. Diocletian Palace 50m, bus/train/ferry and beach 1-2 min walking distance. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
Mirko's room is a little undersold. Whilst perhaps not in the picturesque Old Town, it's proximity to both this and the ferry/bus services was perfect for us. In case we did manage to get lost on the five minute walk from the ferry, Mirko was ready to meet us with a grin at the entrance to the alleyway that leads to the apartment block. The night's sleep was very quiet, despite the lively goings on nearby. The air conditioning has near-arctic capabilities, and the wooden nature of the room at the top of the building (mmm, gables) meant it felt cosy.
We stayed here for one night and we were happy with our stay. The main word to describe this place is location. Situated 2 min from the old town/center, this place was perfect to make the most out of our short visit to Split. The room was comfortable and the shared bathroom very clean. We would definitely recommend staying here if you are willing to always eat out since there is no kitchen apart for making tea and coffee. The host was kind and welcoming. The only downside were the very loud neighbours that woke us up in the middle of the night, but I guess that was just bad luck.
