My place is well located directly on Provencher Blvd, in Winnipeg’s french quarter, Saint Boniface, a neighbourhood brimming with culture and Manitoban history. It is within walking distance to many quaint cafes, restaurants and parks, as well as Winnipeg's favorite attractions; The Forks, The Canadian Human Rights Museum, WAG, The Exchange District. There is also direct access to the bus line 1/2 block from our doorstep.
Your private bedroom is situated on the second floor of my home and is part of a 2 bedroom unit that has a separate entrance. The space can also be rented as a 2 bedroom apartment, with capacity for 5 people (2 queen beds and sofa bed in the living room). If one bedroom is booked I block the other one from being rented so it would be like having your own private apartment.
There is one washroom, living room, and an eat-in kitchenette, no stove. Kitchenette is equipped with a hot plate, toaster oven, refrigerator and Keurig.
Coffee and tea is provided.
This is a cozy and clean space that encourages travellers to kick back and take in the areas "Joie de Vivre" attitude with fellow travellers and locals. I encourage you to make the most of your stay by offering my take on Winnipeg’s gems.
I will gladly meet you upon check you in and answer any questions you may have.
This is an older but newly remodelled house that has kept many of its original characteristics and quirk. Up-cycled furniture and decor and beautiful original maple wood floors with a little creek (in some spots a lot) in its step is part of the quirk. I also strive for a green and conscious way of living with environmentally friendly water system and waste recycling and invite guests (you) to join in that.
- No outside guests unless agreed upon with me beforehand
- Respect those living around you
- Be respectful of noise levels at night and early hours
Bonjour! I am born and raised in a small Manitoban town and currently live in what I consider Winnipeg's best neighbourhood! I am fluent in French and English and attempt to be in Spanish. I have a great love of travel and adventure and have explored over 30 countries. I've worked in the the Tourism/Hospitality industry as a travel planner and on board Canada's legendary “Canadian” train for many years. Now, I am currently working on converting my home into a guesthouse that can symbolize my passions and imagination and where I'm able to share and connect with like minded travellers.
