Normally, check-in and check-out times are very flexible depending on your travel arrangements.
However if you are checking-in/out on the same day that another guest is checking-out/in and it's not possible to work out a mutually convenient arrangement for everybody then you may have to be prepared to arrive later or leave earlier than you would ideally like.
If all else fails, then the following check-in/check-out times will apply:
- Check-in 2pm
- Check-out 11pm
I will always try to help out as much as possible in these cases and, if necessary, luggage can be safely left for a few hours in my other apartment nearby.

A temporary rental agreement will be asked to be signed prior to check-in, with the usual local terms for these temporary rentals.

Gustavo's place is in an amazing location. It's very close to the grocery store, restaurants, bars, etc. It's close but it's quiet (which is a very important distinction in Buenos Aires). Gustavo was a great host and very nice. The place was perfect for me (solo traveler, working remotely). I would definitely recommend. In fact, I was going to extend my stay but someone had already snagged the place for the next few days. My loss!
Thanks Jason! It was a pity you couldn´t stayed longer, but you are welcome any time.

I stayed at Gustavo's place for 6 weeks, after staying in an Airbnb in Palermo Viejo for 3 weeks. As a woman traveling alone, it was important for me to find a place that was well-located and safe to walk around day and night. This apartment is close to two subway lines and a myriad bus lines, plus an easy and scenic walk to many of the city's attractions, such as the Recoleta cemetery, Museo de Bellas Artes, MALBA, etc. The neighborhood is very residential, but there are plenty of cafes and restaurants around for hanging out and eating out. There's a big Coto supermarket around the corner (one of the best places to exchange USD or Euros, btw!), plus a bunch of smaller supermarkets and specialty shops all around the neighborhood. Gustavo was a very friendly, understanding, and welcoming host throughout. There's a lovely cleaning lady, Olga, who comes once a week, and the building's custodian, Marcelo, takes good care of the common areas. Gustavo is usually on hand, too, since he lives in the area and is renovating the apartment next door (it looks amazing!). Gustavo pretty much built and furnished the whole place single-handedly, even the platform for the bed and the closet, as well as all the furniture. When I suggested installing a screen over the bathroom window to keep the bugs out, he promptly did that. He also brought in a microwave, a new electric kettle, etc. While the place is small, the space is really used well so the apartment is very comfortable, and the kitchen is well-appointed. Having the AC is also a necessity in the summer, though I was able to get away with sleeping with the doors and windows open (and shutters closed) most of the time. I recommend ear plugs if you're sensitive to noise. There's no street noise, but it's a densely populated residential neighborhood, so you might hear other people in the building or the building next door. The apartment gets good light for most of the day, and has excellent wifi. One thing folks should keep in mind is that, as in most places in the world, the windows and doors to the patio don't come with screens, so in the summer months you will get some bugs flying in, and there are some small slugs in the yard that crawl out after it rains. I'd find them on the shutters, and a couple of times they crawled into the apartment. Since I'm not a fan but didn't want to touch them, I usually got them to crawl back out by blowing on them or fanning them in the direction I'd want them to go! Doves and sparrows also frequent the patio, which is quite cute. There was also an adorable little gecko that came inside and hung out. Also, the mosquitoes in the city are vicious, but there are plug-in repellents that help (Raid tablets work better than Fuyi, in my experience). So if you're the...
Thanks Maja for your review. You are welcome back anytime!

I was in Buenos Aires for 7 weeks - three in Palermo Viejo and four in Gustavo's apartment in Recoleta. I really enjoyed PV and was sad to move when the time came, but the sadness was short lived. I fell in love with Recoleta while I was there. I am a single female, traveling alone, so it is important for me to be somewhere where I feel safe walking around. As much as I liked PV, I had some sketchy experiences there. I had nothing but wonderful experiences at Gustavo's place. PV is like Brooklyn, with designer shops and beautiful hipsters and is just hopping (and loud) all the time. Gustavo's neighborhood is mostly families and older people with dogs, young professionals and such. But I was really comfortable there. I was inspired by all of the active people in the neighborhood to take up running again and often ran after sundown in the nearby (beautiful!) park and felt completely safe doing so. (There are so many people getting their fitness on in the park, at all hours, it is a really lively place to be.) The apartment is walking distance to the Cemetery and two really great museums. It's close to a good grocery store, a gluten free bakery (Cooking Time) in one direction and a gluten free cafe (Gout) in the other, and there is an excellent Juice/salad cafe (Be Juice) just a few blocks away. (I'm coeliac, so this was really important to me.) I work online, so really lived in Gustavo's apartment like I would anywhere -- less like a tourist and more like someone who is beholden to a group of online co-workers for set hours during the day. So I can tell you that the internet works great and that the sun streams in through the windows there from 10 - 3, which is lovely when you're stuck at a desk. There aren't a lot of restaurants (or bars) in the neighborhood, so if that's what you're looking for you would be happier in PV. But I mostly cooked at home, so that didn't bother me. The kitchen is small, but it's fully functional. And a maid comes once a week to do the heavy cleaning, which was a nice perk. If you aren't coming to Buenos Aires to party, I definitely recommend Gustavo's place, especially for a long stay. He is also going to be renting the next door apartment soon. He walked me around it and I can recommend that place as well. It's beautiful. If, while you're there, you see some people opening the door next to you, say hi. They will be fellow travelers and you can share tips!
Thanks Melissa for your kind words. It was a pleasure to have you here. You're very welcome anytime.

I stayed in this apartment for 2 months and Gustavo's place was absolutely everything an individual needs in Buenos Aires. It is centrally located and right next to the train and bus. Additionally, the decor has a specific spunk to it that makes the place feel like a real home versus the hotel feeling. The best part about the apartment in my opinion is Gustavo who is always around and ready to answer whatever problem or question you may have about the neighborhood/house. That being said there was one major problem with the space for me. This being the lack of "good" restaurants or bars in the area. I suggest Palermo for a much more diverse array of options

Muchas Gracias Gustavo.

I stayed here for two weeks. The area is wonderful, supermarkets, small shops, cafes, you name it ... everything is very close. Very good connections with subway and bus transport. The apartment itself is great, really cozy place, with all the necessary things. It has small but very well equipped kitchen. Everything is as nice as it looks on you photos. I personally loved the small terrace, with a few birds coming every now and then. So, I had a great stay. Gustavo is very friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend staying in his flat. Thank you Gustavo!

The appartment itself was great; the kitchen works excellent, top bed, wifi and personally I enjoyed the terrace a lot. I think the best feature of Gustavo's appartment is its location, a few blocks away from two of the major avenues in Buenos Aires where you can find busses and subway stations easily, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes. I recommend staying in this location if you're looking for a prime experience in this city.
