Villa Isla, in the exclusive village of Selva di Fasano is close to beaches, key tourists sights & local services. Both airports are less than an hr's drive away. One of the best bakeries & butchers is located here.
Whilst Villa Isla is physically attached to the main house occupied by the owners of the property - it has it's own separate entrance & operates as a stand alone self-contained apartment. Villa Isla is suited to couples, singles, business people & families with young children.
Whilst Villa Isla is physically attached to the main house that is occupied by the owners of the property, it has it's own separate and exclusive access points and operates as a stand alone self contained apartment. This means that unlike other B&B, staying at Villa Isla affords you the space, facilities, security and privacy of your own apartment. At the same time you have at your disposal, the assistance and travel information from the experienced owners. There is also car parking space available for guests. If transport to and from airport, restaurants, places of interest is required, it can be arranged for a fee.
It is a fully self contained apartment with all the facilities including laundry etc
Most happy to provide suggestions of what and where to see, eat, shop & buy.
I retired 8 years ago from work in Financial Services Sector in London. I have been married for 45 years, have three children and two granddaughters. My husband and I now spend several months a year in Selva with our very friendly black Labrador dog Ben. We are looking forward to meeting new people and helping them enjoy the numerous fabulous things about the Puglia area. I love to travel, having just been to Vietnam/Cambodia for a month, I would say so far this has been my favourite trip, although love Australia India, Boston and New York. However, the Scottish Highlands are amazing and we love going there when back in UK. We love having our granddaughters here in Italy, as they both love it so much and find lots of activities to keep them busy. We look forward to meeting anyone who wishes to visit our villa and helping them discover some of the amazing areas of historical interest, beaches, restaurants, Zoo Safari and aqua park, which are particularly appealing to children. John and I try to make everyone who comes to our villa, feel at home and comfortable. We believe our apartment is extremely well furbished, with excellent bedding, a large well equipped kitchen, numerous books, DVDs, games for when you feel you need time to chill after a day out sight seeing. Our village is very friendly, self sufficient in local shops, selling everything you would need for your stay, local restaurants, bars, hairdressers, post office and an amazing Masseria which is both a bakery and butchers. Local butchers provide BBQ food in the evening and all meat, chicken, lamb etc is high quality and delicious. Driving to lots of local towns from Selva is really easy and a lovely drive through the countryside, as oppose to motorways. Matera, which next year will be the European City of Culture is a 50 minute drive way but well worth a trip, as it is an amazing experience to see how people lived in caves, I don't believe there is another town in Italy like Matera. There are so many amazing places to visit from Selva, Monoploy, Alberobello, Castellana Grotto, Martina Franca, Cisterino, Poliginano, Ostuni, Lecce, the sea front at Torre Canne, Capitolo. You will find it is well worth a trip to Puglia.
