Spacious and bright three-bedroom, two-bathroom modern house with sea and mountain views. It has easy access to beautiful beaches, historical and archaeological sites, and the lively towns of Ierapetra and Agios Nikolaos.
This bright three-bedroom maisonette has loads of space and panoramic views of sea and mountains. It is located near the towns of Ierapetra (2 km) and Agios Nikolaos (25 km), in the quiet village of Kentri. It has a large open plan kitchen/living room area, one shower-room/toilet, one bathroom with toilet, and three bedrooms: one with a double bed and a balcony with panoramic views, another with two detachable beds (put together they make a double bed with no gap) and a third with a single bed and a balcony with panoramic views. The house has modern amenities including a washing machine, electric stove/oven, a fridge/freezer and a microwave. Two bedrooms are air conditioned, and there is always a nice breeze from the mountains passing through the house.
2 kilometres from Ierapetra in southern Crete on the Road to Agios Nikolaos.
Access to beaches:
There are multiple beautiful beaches nearby. Southern location means very calm, pool-like sea (unlike those of north of the island which generally have waves). Out of the numerous beaches nearby we prefer the following:
•Kakkos Bay (see photo)
•Waikiki Café Beach (2.5km)
•Mochlos village beach (see photo)
You can also take the boat from the Ierapetra town and in 45 minutes find yourself on the golden island of Chrissi (see photo).
Access to restaurants and cafes:
The south of Crete is famous for its cuisine. In Ierapetra beachfront you can find numerous restaurants and tavernas, as well as meze-places, cafes and bars. Bars and clubs are open all night, and are especially lively on the weekends. If you have a car, you can go further and sample food, drink and the famous Cretan hospitality in 'hidden' places that only locals know. Our favourite are Kapilio in Monastiraki, Robinson Crusoe in Koutsounari and the tavernas in the picturesque village of Mochlos (see photos).
You can acess every part of the house and the land around it. It all belongs to us. The maisonette next door is rented out to a family throughout the year: please respect them and their space.
Please call us and we will try to help as much as we can.
The closest grocery store which provides everything, from milk to bread to fruits/vegetables, to cooking ingredients, is just 5 minues walk from the house ('Sifis' mini market). For larger shopping provisions, there are several supermarkets in Ierapetra town, 2 km away.
- This is our own holiday home and we love it. Please treat it with care and respect.
This house is owned by two siblings, Emmanuela and Nikos, both of whom have young families. Emmanuela is a University Lecturer at the University of Warwick and lives in London and Nikos is a Software developer and lives in Athens. The siblings spend their summer holidays together in this beautiful house.
