This old house would love to live another hundred years, treat it carefully and respect its age.
Being a transplant to Montana, I find each day a marvel here in the Bitter Root Valley. Upon retiring from education in San Jose, California, I decided to change life up a bit and came to a place I just love. This is how quiet, serene, and unbelievable unpredictable weather Hamilton Montana has become my home. Because I do enjoy adventures and traveling, there may be times when I may not be at home on your visit, However, this is not a concern as my home is rather funky and there is not much that can be damaged if you use care and a bit of love. This is an old house and only asks to be standing for another 100 years.
Because there are many 'hike, bike, run trails' in my immediate area, I have two bikes (one helmet) that may be borrowed for short expeditions. Should you choose not to indulge in the light breakfast and coffee offered to you here, there are coffee houses (WiFi) and cafes in town, all within a four minute walk...even the stormiest days will not keep me away from Taste of Paris' crepes or River Rising's quiches.
Although one does not generally come to Hamilton to play tennis, there are outdoor courts and The Canyons Athletic Sports Club has two indoor courts (as well as an array of other exercise options). I have all the equipment for tennis but you will need to supply your own shoes. And...depending on your level of play, (3.5-4.5). I can possibly hook you up with great folks with whom to play.
We also have two golf courses within a fifteen minute drive from town, one nine-hole, the other 18. I rarely use my old and very used bag and clubs so they are available to guests, should you be in such dire need.
Also, I should clarify the cleaning deposit requirement for the stay.... A $10 first night is required and then another $10 for every TWO nights after the first night.
Where ever you go and where ever you stay, here in the Bitter Root Valley, enjoy yourself because you may never experience elsewhere what you are able to experience in this part of our country.
