The Fantail room is a newly renovated double room with its own private balcony giving beautiful views of the Mount. It is perfect for couples looking for a bit of rest and relaxation in Mount Maunganui. The room comes equipped with a comfortable Queen bed and wardrobe space to pack away your things.
The Nest Guesthouse provides high-end traveller accommodation in Mount Maunganui. We are a boutique option, as we have just four rooms (three with shared bathroom and one with private ensuite), beautiful views of the Mount, and a swimming pool and garden to relax in.
Located on what may be the highest hill in Mount Maunganui, the Nest Guesthouse is blessed with absolutely stunning views across Blake Park, and of the Mount itself. We have an awesome shared living space on the top floor of the house, where we have drinks available for purchase, chilled-out music, and the best balcony in Mount Maunganui for watching sunsets.
In the backyard, we have an outdoor swimming pool, cleaned and ready for our guests to use. The pool is open from 8am to 9pm daily, so bring your togs and beach towel!!
At the Nest Guesthouse, we aim to give our guests a place they can feel at home, with a greater personal touch than you can find in the regular motels and hostels in the Mount. We would like to provide our guests a place they can socialise, and have fun in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Guests will have access to a shower and toilet shared with just two other rooms. They will also be welcome (and encouraged!) to use the shared living room space and balcony upstairs during the day or evening. We have drinks for purchase, and from this balcony you have a great view across Blake Park, the Mount itself and the beautiful sunsets we get in this country. There is also a shared kitchen facility where guests can make breakfast or enjoy a tea or coffee on the house.
We hope you find time to head down to the garden at the back and say hi to our six resident chooks, and of course make good use of the swimming pool!
We will always be available for questions, concerns or advise on the area but will generally leave guests to their own devices
There may be other guests and family members staying in the house and using communal areas (kitchen, living area, driveway, garden, swimming pool)
To respect other guests, please keep noise to a minimum after 10pm. No showers or cooking after this time.
We are an international couple (I am a Kiwi and my husband Hector is Colombian) who have just returned home to NZ after living in Europe for the last ten years.
Living in the beautiful beach town of Mount Maunganui, we want to show off this hidden gem to international travellers who often miss this destination on their NZ itinerary.
