My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups.
Seasonal swimming pools
The Island - Gennadi is a bit far from Rodos (Rhodes Town) and some of the popular beaches and bays, but it was also nice to get away from the tourists. The beach itself was nice. The beaches there change based on location - some are sand, some are pebbles, some a mix. The beach at Gennadi is a mix of sand and shell and small pebble. I really recommend getting water shoes if you want to go in the water. Some of the beautiful bays and more remote beaches are hard to walk on in bare feet, and too gorgeous to miss a swim. Our favorite places were Saint Paul's Bay and Traganou Beach. They were both beautiful and the water was great. You can do Saint Paul's Bay in the same day as going to Lindos and the Lindos acropolis. We parked at the bay and walked to the shops and restaurants in Lindos (pretty close), and those streets take you up to the acropolis. The Lindos acropolis is a must see! We were skeptical because we've been to the acropolis in Athens, but I honestly preferred the one in Lindos. It is gorgeous, has many different areas and a variety of architecture to enjoy, and has great views of the water and the town. It seemed steep at 12 euro a person, but once we got up and explored it we really enjoyed it. Even my husband, who can take or leave things like that, really liked it! Rodos / Rhodes Town - We had no trouble finding free parking just outside the medieval wall on the east side of town by the port and beaches at 9:30am. The town can get chaotic and touristy midday, but it's well worth the visit. Seeing the medieval wall, architecture, and town was so fascinating. We got some great pictures and really enjoyed everything. It's one of the most well-preserved castles and walled-cities from that time, so check it out! Finally, The Apartment - The location is great. A two minute walk to the center of town where you'll find a grocery store, a tourist store (towels, soaps, sunscreen, etc), and many bars and restaurants (more on that later). The apartment is exactly as it seems in the pictures, was very clean, and the staff at the complex (it's run more like a hotel than privately owned apartments) was so nice! We were in a different unit from the pictures, but they are all almost identical. The only big difference from the pictures to the apartment we were in was that it looked like one full/queen sized bed in the pictures, but was two single beds pushed together in the apartment. This wasn't a huge deal for us, but if it matters to you I would recommend double checking in a message to ensure it's what you want before you arrive. The biggest problem we had was the wifi (which is not that big of a deal on vacation). We...
Perfect ! We met Tasos, a professional man, directly at the reception of the hostel. Huge and comfortable apartment. Very clean and quiet. Wifi perfect. We had 3 balconies, and a swimming pool / sea view. But at this price, I would have liked to have condiments for cooking (like salt, pepper, vinaiger, oil). But, I highly recommend Tasos's apartments!
This place is perfect for little family, next to supermarket, bakery (2min.) and many coktail bar and few restaurants (i suggest Mamma's kitchen) there is also 3pools very clean. The room was clean and lightfull. We really enjoyed out 4days trip there ! Giorgios who work during is very friendly with everyone :-) not a place for young Group of people who wants to party.
