Perhaps my favorite Airbnb ever. A quaint farmhouse on 10 acres with all the amenities. We saw deer, rabbits, squirrels, and woodpeckers. The house was a roomy 2 bedroom with a bath and a half. There are two outdoor seating areas, an electric grill, and a gas fire pit. The host lives on the 10 acre property and was communicative and responsive. The location is on the lower half of Whidbey and was an adequate jumping off point. There are stores only 10 minutes away. I strongly recommend this rental!
The Blue House is idyllically situated in a very peaceful wooded oasis on Whidbey Island. The quiet, the privacy were both exactly what we needed to refresh during a delightful and full wedding weekend. While the outside of the house is modest the inside is fully equipped for comfort and convenience. We were very pleased with how easy and hospitable the home away from home was and appreciated Vonna Lee's warm hospitality. We'll definitely return!
The Blue House is charming, quirky, old, and modernized nicely into a quaint and very comfy place, indeed! The property is peaceful, serene and secluded, and every detail from soap and towels to new carpeting is in pristine condition. I can't think of a thing you'd need that wasn't there. This was a perfect arrangement for family of three, as our teenager had his own room. Perfectly wonderful and a very reasonable price. PS - Vonna Lee is a sweet and helpful person, too.
Vonna Lee's Blue House makes an excellent home-base for checking out Whidbey Island. It's cozy, well-stocked with amenities, just secluded enough for our tastes and has a cool history. Also, the super-relaxed check-in/out situation is amazing (so good!). Vonna Lee was a wonderful host; she met us there as we arrived and gave us the run down of the island and things to do/see and saw us settled and comfy. A really lovely place to get away and relax, will visit again for sure!
The house was nice with many amenities. As described it is a very simple house, being 100 years old, but it had everything we needed. Very beautiful property in the country. Vonna Lee was very communicative and helpful with a lot of tips on what to do and see. Only downside was the old windows couldn't be opened in the living room and main bedroom to get a fresh cross breeze. Very close to Freeland and Bayview, and Langley and Coupeville just a little further away. Lots of fun stuff to do on the island in the summer!
