Welcome to Paris ! And to my bright and comfortable apartment in the heart of the 11th arrondissement, a diverse and lively part of the city. The light-filled apartment with courtyard-facing windows comprises a bedroom, living room with kitchenette, bathroom with a beautiful italian shower.
The flat : Situated in a traditional Haussmann-era building, the apartment is bright and airy on the third floor, without elevator. The bedroom has an all brand new carpet flooring with double bed and wardrobe space in a huge closet. The living room has parquet floors, a sofa bed (designed for two, where it is possible to sleep, for two people more !) and two coffe-tables to have lunch. The kitchenette is equipped with two hot plates, fridge, kettle, toaster, and lots of cooking tools and equipment. You can also use the washing-machine, which can also be use as a dryer. The bathroom has a big shower, toilet and a sink. It's all brand new ! There is fast internet access, speakers, hairdryer.
Sheets & towels are provided.
The quarter and neighbourhood : Located near the Voltaire metro station in a safe and quiet part of the 11th arrondissement, this neighbourhood promises an authentic Parisian experience with many local bistros, cafes, wine shops (cavistes), cheese shops (fromageries) and of course Paris’ fabulous bakeries (boulangeries)! The Père Lachaise cemetery is a few minutes walk away as are other historical and cultural sites such as Bastille and Belleville. République is not far : only 3 metro stations, and you can walk along the Canal Saint Martin.
For eating out and nightlife the lively Bastille, Belleville, Oberkampf, Marais and Canal St Martin areas are all within walking distance, or easily accessible by public transport. It will be a pleasure for me to give you good tips and pleasant local spots to go !
There are supermarkets nearby: Simply Market, Monoprix, Franprix and Carrefour (open late on Sunday). An open-air market takes place every day except Monday nearby, as well as the Sunday Bastille market (great for crepes!).
Local transport is easily accessible with the Metro line 9 (Voltaire station, only 1 minut walking !), line 3 (Rue Saint-Maur 5 minuts walking) and line 2 (Pere Lachaise 8 minuts walking), as well as nearby bus stops and Vélib' (Paris public bicycle sharing system) stations.
If there's anything else you need to know, just send me a message and I will answer, with pleasure, and fastly !
Hope to see you soon in Paris !
