My place is close to the beach, restaurants and dining, nightlife, Bay view. You’ll love my place because you can enjoy nice cool breeze when you will be seating at the front porch and seating at the upstair deck in the evening underneath clear sky.
The house is bigger than expected and was perfect for our group of 6 friends. It is right down the street from a Wawa and pizza place. The deck is awesome. Debasish is extremely helpful and responsive. It was a perfect location for going to the beach during the day and then Atlantic City at night. The only issue is that a few of the rooms do not have AC and got pretty hot. We would definitely return.
We were a total of 7 adults and 2 kids who stayed for the weekend. Let me state the pros - A) Good location - very calm location, wawa Deli nearby serving very good coffee and delicious breakfast. 10 mins walk to the beach. The house had a nice porch and a yard and we had a very good time chatting with friends. B) very responsive host- the host was quick to respond to queries and was periodically checking in to make sure that our stay was comfortable C) very close to Atlantic city (4 miles) and ocean city (8 miles) The pros end here. Coming to the shortcomings A) the house is not fully air conditioned contrary to what's claimed in the post. Only two bedrooms have A/c and all the other parts of the house is thriving on sea breeze and fans. When we entered the house, it was a scorching 90+ degrees and we had to spend major time in the porch till the sea breeze kicked in and cooled the rooms a little bit. B) the 'fabulous in law suite' and the adjoining den had a damp smell probably coming out of the bathroom. We complained to the host and he fixed a couple of room fresheners to address it. Again, due to lack of air conditioning, these rooms were pretty humid till late in the night. C) the bathroom in the ground floor didn't feel clean. The toilet seats and the floor mats definitely need a replacement. D) the kitchen appliances were dated and we were hesitant to use the baking oven for anything. Not a big deal for someone looking to spend all their time outside and eating out during their stay. E) the Wifi is a Comcast hotspot and I wouldn't count on it much. We ended up using our own data. Overall, for $600 for two nights, I would not call this a cheap/reasonable price and would recommend to look for other options as well.
8 of us stayed at Debasish's home for a beach/Atlantic City weekend. The house was the perfect location-easy walking distance to Ventnor Beach. Cute coffee shops and restaurants in the area. The house comfortably slept 8 people, with great upstairs and downstairs bedrooms. Great outdoor porch with a grill. Debasish was helpful and responsive the entire weekend. We were beyond comfortable and welcomed and will definitely return in the future.
Although the host was very communicative we were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. This listing has a $100 cleaning fee for it's guests. We booked a 4 day weekend for my birthday. I spent that time cleaning someone else's house. Hopefully the host finds a new cleaning company because the house is fantastic and the location can't be beat.
