With en suite shower & toilet & fully equipped kitchen you have all you need to stay in or head out & discover the coast, great countryside & superb places to eat & drink.Sometimes it may be possible to offer 1 night only so please send an enquiry & if I can, I am happy to oblige.
Relax & unwind in our gorgeous hut. Simple yet luxurious, we aim to provide you with a thoughtful space to stay & recharge.
A welcome snack including some milk awaits when you arrive so have that first relaxing cup of tea as you unwind.
Bookings of two or more nights will find a complimentary bottle of wine waiting for you on arrival!
Breakfast is included in the price comprising of homemade bread, freshly laid eggs from our hens, granola & a piece of fruit. It will be ready in the hut fridge so it's all there for you to toast & cook when you wake.
Its easy to cater for yourself using the hut's kitchen. It has a kettle, toaster, two ring induction hob & a microwave/combi oven. Olive & rapeseed oil is provided as are salt & pepper.
We have the superb Washingpool Farm shop just down the road where you can find all you need for meals & picnics during your stay.
Towels & bedding are included, as are shower gel, shampoo & conditioner.
The hut is a perfect retreat, many are inspired to write so bring a journal or how about some paints & see if you can capture the beauty of the Dorset countryside right outside your door.
There is a digital radio if you just fancy curling up on the comfortable bed & listening to music.
There is a USB charging point in the socket behind the chest by the bed.
Mobile telephone signals can vary so you might find yourself with some true freedom from the demands of modern life.
The hut has its own path up to it & sits at the end of our garden overlooking the rolling countryside.
Many cyclists visit the area so if you bring your bike you will be able to join in!
We have plenty of space for you to park in one of our barns. Please keep your dog on a lead going to & from your car as the hut is in an unfenced area & there is livestock around. . If you have a dog with you, please make sure they are washed off using the outside tap on the end of our house & towel dried, using the dog towel which can be found next to where you park before entering the hut. Please do not have the dog on the bed & please bag any poop & pop into the bin in the barn~thankyou! I don't charge extra for dogs as know they are part of the family, please help me to keep doing this by cleaning up after your pet :o)
Most of the time I am here when you arrive, if I can't be then I will pop over quickly when I get back to say hello & check you have settled in alright.
We have a dog, a cat & chickens with a cockerel.
The land around us is rented out for cattle & sheep farming with all its associated rural noises!
You will hear tawny owls hooting goodnight to you & probably wake to the sound of pheasants squawking. We are lucky enough to have several species of bats living here that swoop around at dusk & in summer the swallows will keep you entertained with their aerial acrobatics. The bird song is a vibrant start to the day~your very own Tweet of The Day awaits you! & if you are here at the right time of year you may be lucky enough to hear the roe bucks deep throaty call as they seek a doe.
Don't forget to look up! There is very little light pollution here & on a clear night you can almost touch the stars!
Sat on the hut steps as dusk falls, one of the blankets from under the bed, around your shoulders,cradling a drink & just listening & watching is probably the thing our guests love most to do!
