Stay in a hotel... sleep on the beach... or another AirBNB. But stay here and you get an exhibition for free! Close to the city and amenities, our home is filled with things from the 80's > today!! Always rearranging so each experience is unique!
The apartment is a 1 bedroom, plus study, situated on the 9th floor of an apartment block in the bustling Waterloo area, just 2km from the city centre. It features an open plan design, fully integrated modern kitchen with floor to ceiling windows overlooking a balcony and part city views. There is both a shower and a bath for those who like to clean at the same time ;)
We live here so our clothes, furniture and personal effects will be in the apartment while you stay, but we have made space for you to store your belongings in the wardrobe and study.
The swipe pass allows you up and down the elevator at both 2 and 4 Lachlan Street entries. You’ll have access to level 9, level 2 (for the visitor car park and where the recycling bins are located) and of course level 1 (which is the Lachlan Street entry). Access to the gym and pool in the building adjacent to this one (Crystal Street).
We have an extra set, but remember to take keys and swipe with you when you leave the apartment for any reason. Call us if you’ve locked yourself out, but bear in mind we may not be local at the time.
The wi-fi router lives under the desk in the study, flick it on/off if you run into connection problems.
If overseas our contact with you may be limited, but we have support nearby if needed. Otherwise, text anytime (Cain: +(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)).
Feel free to play with the toys, flick through the books, use perishables in the fridge, explore the area, make love and enjoy yourself/ves :)
Fresh towels and sheets, soap and toilet paper provided.
Large 55 inch flat screen TV with Blu-ray player and HDMI/wi-fi port.
Ducted Air Conditioning (Sometimes ‘FAULT’ displays on the thermostat and prevents the unit from working. This is a problem we’re in the process of sorting out… please use the two portable fans instead).
Washer/Dryer (please follow the care instructions on the left under the shelves).
Weber Q (Switch the gas off after use).
Pool/Gym located outside the building on Crystal Street. Bring your own towel and use the swipe pass to enter. Please take care of the equipment.
You’re staying in a green building where corridor lights have been replaced with LED and recycling (inc. e-waste and clothing bins) options available on level 2. They’re easy to find walking through to the car park.
The garage chute is to the left when you exit the elevator on level 9. Please do not shove large items down the chute or leave trash in hat room. Please take it down to level 2.
We appreciate most will respect our apartment but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions:

No pets please. We have cat that lives here and it's his space. Most of his hair will be removed before your stay, however some is likely to remain. Please consider this before you stay if you are allergic.
Check-out time is midday. The apartment should be left in a similar state to its condition found on arrival when you depart.
Dishes should be cleaned and garbage/recycling removed. Fingerprints and food spillages caused by infants must be cleaned also. There is no need to wash bed linen or towels, as these will be professionally laundered.
The $200.00 replacement fee retained by AirBNB will be claimed if towels or sheets are stained by hair dyes, bleaches, tanning and/or make up. You are obliged to compensate for any damage or loss (outside of the $200.00 paid to AirBNB upon confirmation), occurring in the accommodation due to your own fault or the fault of accompanying persons.
Keys may be left in the apartment or returned personally by arrangement upon departure. Guests will be charged $200.00 if keys and swipe pass are not returned.
I figure AIRBNB is the upgrade of sleeping on people's couches, which I have done my fair share of during my twenties. Now that I'm in my thirties, I don't mind being able to afford a good night in someone's home. You still get the cultural exchange and that's what matters!
I'm Cain and my partner with the Disney hair is Ryan. We're both decent fellows that mothers think would make great boyfriends for their daughters... but you know that is bittersweet ;) I'm a graphic designer, while Ryan volunteers for a community radio station while he studies to work in aged care.
Ryan hasn't travelled an awful lot, so it's up to me with my years of experience to show him the world!
