Our House in Argenton is a part of a former wine farm and adjacent on one side are neighbors. It is built on a hill. On street level is the barn / garage, with below a wine cellar. Along the house runs a path that leads to a cosy courtyard. From there you arrive at the door of the residential part that is located above the large barn / garage. From the courtyard you can walk with a natural staircase to the upper garden with fruit trees.
Spacious kitchen with a dining table, living room with wood burning stove, large bed and study area with two single beds, bedroom with double bed, small shower room and toilet, attic with dormer Windows.
Ones you've opened the shutters in the rooms, you have a magnificent view of Argenton sur Creuse. The trail of the train is close to the House. Every now and then you hear a train passing by, but experience shows that you will quickly get used to the sound. The back room and the kitchen adjacent to the quiet tree-covered courtyard where you hear the birds whistle.
A baguette you can get at one of the three bakery's in a nice 5-minute morning walk and also a nice café creme is just "around the corner".
In our upper garden you can enjoy the summer sun. A parasol or a tree offers the necessary shade.
Because of the location of the House you can enjoy the ideal blend of the liveliness of the town and the tranquility of nature!!

All that is in the house may be used. There are several closets in the house privately. These are for private use. There is always a the possibility that something breaks. You need to inform us about this and when possible replace it. Here we mean, everything that break by using it wrong.
2. Respect for house, neighbors and environment:
You rent a house where you have to deal with the immediate surroundings.
You have neighbors on one side directly adjacent to the property. These people live here and do their daily things. You are here on holiday and enjoying it to the fullest. Keep this in mind. The garden to the highest-level area opens onto the garden of the neighbor on the next higher ground.
There is no fence placed in order to maintain an open character.
However, there is a natural vegetation indicated by plot boundary. The garden belonging to the house can be used freely. The house is situated in Argenton sur Creuse , which is a lively town. Respect the customs and the sounds corresponding to a larger town .
It is not permitted to bring pets.
When you arrive the house will be clean and tidy. After your stay someone will come to clean the house. We trust that you leave the house neat and clean. That means cleaning the toilet, kitchen and brooming the floors.
Points of attention are the kitchen (food, counter tops, clean and dry refrigerator), toilet and shower. If there is something you do not like then please let us know.
The garbage must be collected separately. Paper / plastic , glass and other waste is collected separately and is picked up twice a week by the municipality. In the house hangs a paper with collection days for the garbage .
6. Electricity, firewood en water:
Electricity, firewood (if available) and water are included in the price. We just ask you to send us a photo of the readings on the fusebox when you leave so we have. However, we ask you to deal consciously with this. Gas is always sufficiently available for cooking. On arrival the main Water valve is closed. This valve is located in the garage directly to the right around the corner in the ground. The hole is covered with insulation plate. If you leave the residence then please close the valve again. The main switch in the fuse box also is switched off when you arrive. This is located behind the stairs door leading to the attic. This door is in the kitchen. On departure please turn off the switch again and send us a picture of the reading on the meter!
7. Disasters and emergencies

10. Occupancy and visitors
It is not allowed to let more people stay in the house than what the house is furnished for. Children count for determining the number of inhabitants as a full person. A child using a cot is not counted in the number of persons present . Visitors during the day and in the evening should not result to more than double occupancy. Obviously there should be no disruption occur for local residents. The latter also applies to the use of radio. Setting up tents is not allowed in the garden.
You are solely responsible for your or your guests damage and nuisance. Landlords are not responsible for:
- damage or injury caused as a result of the stay in the house , or by the use of the facilities present in the field;
- Claims arising from nuisance caused by third parties ;
- Disabled or out of use of facilities or amenities.
