I have a bright, double room in my home situated very close to Preston Park station - access London and Gatwick Airport. Bus route to city centre and seaside within easy reach, but a 20/25 minute walk will also get you there. Perfect for those who want to relax and explore the city and who don't mind a friendly cat!
My home is Victorian house in a tree-lined, residential road with many of its original features. Friends have described it as quirky. I like to think of it as a welcoming, "tea and toast” sort of home.
The room is large and comfortable with a standard double bed, plenty of storage space and tea/coffee making facilities/Wifi. There is a sofa armchair as well as a fold-away desk and chair stored in one of the cupboards should you need a place to work.
The bright and sunny bedroom is on the first floor, along with the shared bathroom. The breakfast room is on the ground floor, along with a tiny toilet under the stairs. I will provide a continental breakfast. If you have any dietary requests (e.g. vegan) please let me know and I will endeavour to accommodate them. I will provide a key so you can come and go as you please.
I am in and out much of the time, either working from home or working on the garden and there are times when my daughter visits from London. I’m comfortable with whatever level of interaction you'd like to have, so happy to stop for a chat or just to point you in the right direction. I can speak French, although it is a bit rusty!
I have a cat called Mortie and a house rabbit called Otis (currently confined to one room), so this is not somewhere suitable for those with pet allergies.
My house has been a family home for some 30 years and I hope you will love it as much as I do. The exterior and garden are currently undergoing some re-vamping so things are changing and I will update photos as I go along.
