Amazingly central location close to Chinatown, Kensington Market, Little Italy, Dundas West, the Annex, and Queen West - all of Toronto's most exciting neighbourhoods. The space is on the second floor of a house and features a view of the CN Tower from almost every room. We are sisters in our mid 20s - we love Toronto and would be happy to help to ensure that you have a fantastic time while you're here. A perfect home base to check out the city.
Our apartment is located on the second and top floor of a house on a quiet side street. Large windows in every room guarantee lots of natural light throughout the day. The bedroom has a queen size mattress, a cozy sofa, a large bay window and plenty of closet space. There is a living room, a large kitchen/dining area, and a full washroom. We welcome you to use all of these spaces and make yourself at home while you're here.
This location is absolutely unbeatable! We are steps away from the bustling Kensington Market which is full of amazing places to eat, drink and people-watch. Other exciting neighbourhoods including Chinatown, Dundas West, Queen West, the Annex, U of T, the Entertainment District, Parkdale, as well as the waterfront are easily walkable and accessible by public transit. There are multiple parks nearby and the beach isn't far if you feel like lounging in the sand on a lake that more closely resembles an ocean. It doesn't get more central than this.
We're sisters in our mid-20s who work full-time, so we're frequently out of the house. We're around to give you tips for things like restaurants, bars, shopping, attractions, and day trips, and answer any questions you might have. We love this city and it matters to us that you have an amazing time while you're here!
There is a queen size mattress in the bedroom but we also have a fold-out couch in the living room (with a proper door for privacy) which can accommodate a third guest if need be. The apartment is not equipped with air conditioning so it can get a bit toasty in the summer, but there is a very effective fan in the room. There is a coin-operated washer and dryer in the basement which you are welcome to use.
After a childhood in Vancouver and a youth retirement in Montreal, I'm currently having a go at the grownup thing in Toronto - a city I am now very happy to call home.
Despite the obvious devastation over not having grown up to be a teenage witch, I get by on such small comforts as IPA, knitting, bluegrass, books, travel, coffee, alleys, Leonard Cohen, hiking, and getting caught in the rain.
When I travel, I tend to eat my way through places. This inevitably included haggis in Edinburgh, a cow stomach sandwich in Florence, and cow udder grilled to perfection (...?) in Argentina. I figure just about everything is worth trying, and you don't know for sure that it's not until you have!
