We set up this five acre two bdrm ranch style for grandma and grandpa to stay at when they visit. When they're not here, it is available to guests by the weekend, week or month. One bdrm has a queen bed, the second has a twin and a bunk (twin over full). This is not a showpiece - just a cozy, comfortable place to relax and enjoy, but close enough in for some culture and sightseeing.
Even more perfect if you are traveling through with your horses, as there is a 6 stall barn, fenced pasture and small indoor arena on the property. Sit out on the back deck in the evenings and watch the sun set over the pond and pastures.
- Fully furnished
- 40 inch TV w/BlueRay player and basic cable
- Full kitchen
- blow dryer, curling iron
There is no central air conditioning, as it is rarely needed in Oregon, but we do have a portable A/C unit that easily wheels around the house. The house is shaded, so it remains pretty comfortable - even on hot days.
Note: Cell coverage is pretty sketchy at the house since it is out in the country. Several guests have mentioned they have to go out in the yard and stand on their head to make a phone call.

We live about 1/2 mile from the Airbnb rental, so it is very easy for us to come by and help with any questions.
We keep our horses on this property and every week or so, one of our kids might come over to ride. The barn, barn parking and pastures are set well away from the house, though, so this typically should not disturb guests.
Please use the nicer towels for bathing only. We provide misc older towels and rags to wipe up spills, wash cars, wipe down shoes, etc.
Please bag garbage prior to placing in barrel.
A recycle bin with instructions is provided.
Hi and welcome to our airbnb listing.
Laurie & I have lived in Oregon City, OR for close to twenty years and were drawn here by the quiet rural setting. As a business owner and arts and food lover, it is nice to be close to a minor metropolitan area (Portland is just a 25 minute drive), but the part we like best has been raising our six children, two horses, five goats, 10 chickens (at last count), two dogs, three cats and way too many zuccinis on a small hobby farm outside of town.
We recently furnished the listed property for Laurie's parents to stay at when they visit. They love it there and we hope they will spend more and more time there. But in the meantime, we are making it available to guests whenever it is unoccupied.
Laurie & I became converts of "by owner" vacation rentals when we managed to take our entire family to Europe for 30 days last year. We spent a few days in hotels/pensions, but the rest of the time was spent in "by owner" situations similar to airbnb. Not only was it easier to accommodate our large family, but having access to full kitchens helped us save tons of money by cooking our own meals.
Thanks for looking and good luck in your search!
