Good sized double room, in a three bed semi-detached house in a quiet residential area above the city centre. Town and the train station are ten minutes away by car (£5-7 taxi). Suits couples, business travellers, and small families. House and garden have views over Swansea Bay.
This is a good sized double bedroom with its own small ensuite toilet. The main bathroom, with bath and shower, is shared downstairs. There is also a single bedroom that can be booked on request.
I don't have a travel cot but you're welcome to bring one if you need one, the room has space. Tea / coffee facilities are provided in room.
Guests are welcome to share the garden, kitchen and bathroom. I will be around, and possibly a guest in the single room too, but I don't have to get to work each morning so can accommodate your needs in terms of when you prefer breakfast etc.
I also live in the house, and can help with any questions.
I'm no cook, so breakfast is "continental", but youre welcome to use the kitchen :) There will be porridge, cereals, toast and fruit laid out for you in the morning, and as much tea and coffee as you like.
There are no eateries within walking distance of the house, but a great range of retaurants (and pubs/bars) is approximately 10 minutes away by taxi in Uplands or the town centre.
Also remember, I can't do anything about the weather! Swansea isn't always the sunniest of places...the view may disappear behind a big grey cloud. The cinema, bowling, leisure centre, museums and shopping centre are all 10-15 minute drive away in the town centre, so there's plenty of things to do in addition to Swansea's beaches.
Guests should drop me a line to introduce themselves.
Please don't hesitate to be in touch with any queries.
Having lived abroad for several years, I have now settled back in Swansea, near to friends, family and my first grandchild. I love to travel and visit old friends in NY, Dubai and the Bahamas - and anywhere else I can top up on some sunshine! Now retired from full-time teaching, I'm always busy and every spare moment goes on the garden.
