Good for a budget traveler. 1920s building (maybe?), refurbished. Small room with two windows facing quiet residential street. Bed is on loft, so be prepared to climb narrow ladder. Kitchen is well-equipped and is the only common room (besides a hall). Modern washer and drying racks. Good wifi connection. Access to large green courtyard/park in back. Close to many supermarkets and restaurants on Tempelhoferdamm and Manteufelstrasse. Generally takes a bus plus subway or S-bahn to get to the middle or northern parts of Berlin- so count on 30-45 mins. transportation time. The host Irene was on vacation while I was there, so I only met her twice at end. She was a nice person, generously allowing the visitors to use the kitchen, fridge, and washing machine.
Irene's place was very clean and comfortable. The room was cozy, with a loft bed that I rather enjoyed. Her place is about a 10min walk from public transit, and the guest that was also staying at the time was kind, respectful, and friendly. With my schedule I did not see Irene very much, but she had excellent and quick communication for getting to the apartment, and any questions I had.
