A bright and quiet double room in a “small-small” but comfortable and homely flat where I live – close Upper Street in the nice and trendy neighborhood of Islington [ zone 2 ].
We have to share a [ big ] bathroom and our life for a short time...open minds and easygoing people are welcome.
The apartment is on the second floor in a traditional bricks building with big sash windows, nice trees around and a condominial garden.
It's located in a very quiet and central location, just off Upper Street in Islington – zone 2!
The flat is very homely, recently refurbished, with wooden flooring, spacious bathroom and kitchen. Is perfectly located in a very quiet street but the nightlife is just around the corner.
The bedroom is really nice, tastefully furnished, in perfect condition and with plenty of light (south facing), equiped with a king size bed with underbed storage, massive wall closet and a desk.
You’ll find in a warm, clean, nicely furnished space and a welcoming host.
It probably goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway, that you'll have exclusive use of your bedroom. You'll share the bathroom with one other person (me). You're welcome to use the kitchen to prepare light meals (by which I mean anything that doesn't tie up the oven or cooker for more than an hour!). I leave a space in the fridge dedicated to you and feel free to use the coffee and tea that you find in the kitchen during the stay. There isn’t a living room and the flat is really small but cute and with all comfort for two or maximum three people polite and respectful.
I live here, but I work full time Monday to Friday, so I wouldn't be able to offer my presence in office hours - but you can contact me always by phone or email. And of course we can meet in the morning for a cup of tea - and in the evenings for a chat and a glass of wine.
About checking in: I'm more flexible at weekends. Do ask if you need to check in at a different time from the one I have indicated - I'll do my best to accommodate you.
I am very keen to keep my flat clean and wish to do so all the time. I expect my guests to be the same - I have a strict rule of removing our shoes at the entrance to preserve the wooden flooring.
No parties or events
Not child-friendly (0-12 years)
Check-in time is 6PM - 12AM (midnight).
I'd like you to be back by 1 am in the mornings on weekdays. Please use headphones/keep the noise right down after 1 am too, both for my and the neighbours' sake. Is absolutely no smoking in the flat, though feel free to do so outside.
I'm an Italian architect - I was born in the beautiful Naples, I have studied and worked in Florence, in Coimbra-Portugal and Sal-Cape Verde and today my life passes franticly in London.
I love travelling and meeting people from all around the world - I am always interested to meet new people and experience different cultures. I love to move without too many plans and organizations and make me carried away by situations.
Travelling for me it means explore, walk slowly, savor, hear with your ears and with the palate, an opportunity for make new friends....and sometimes this can happen within the walls of home with a guest. I’m a relaxed, helpful and affable host in London and a respectful and nice guest.
I love books, words, the arts and culture. I'm so lucky to live in the middle of this wonderful city with all the opportunities it affords to enjoy all those things! I would be very happy to make suggestions and recommendations although I do not live a long time in London - I will do my best to make the stay enjoyable.
