A town with history, culture, and a castle. There are restaurants and bars (by the dozen) to suit all budgets. Eat an authentic paella or arroz al horno, some churros or empanadilla. Experience “Almorzar“! Go mountaineering, mountain biking, hiking, fishing or birdspotting. Xativa mixes the modern with the traditional and is the perfect place to come for a visit anytime throughout the year.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.
Great roads, good train service, close to the countryside, mountains and rivers, less than an hour from Spain’s third largest city. Xativa is easy to get to from all the nearby airports by car or by train. Once you are here, you will find it a great place to stay, either for a couple of weeks or a couple of nights. Once here you can go east to the beach in Gandia. Maybe Head north into Valencia and further afield to Barcelona. Alternatively go south to Alcoy or Alicante or Murcia.
If you are travelling by car, Xativa’s location and the great road network in the area makes getting anywhere even easier. Nearby you will find national parks, several other historical towns and a multitude of beaches along the coast…..
Whatever you want to do and for whatever kind of holiday you are looking for, you can do it in Xativa and the surrounding area.
