A bright, clean and modern home with high ceilings (16ft) and lots of natural light. Three bedrooms and one full bath. The upstairs bedroom with the king bed (or two twins) is an open loft space - thus getting lots of natural light. There is a built in hot tub on the back deck along with a white-washed outdoor shower that was completely rebuilt in Fall of 2016. Surrounding the house is 1000 Sq.Ft. of wrap-around decking with outdoor dining for 8-10, a top of the line weber gas grill, 4 chaise lounges and an outdoor living room with seating for 8-10 people. The property has evergreens planted all around it to give an extra level of privacy, as well as a small grassy yard in the back. We've got 6 brand new bicycles at the house (5 colorful vintage beach cruisers with baskets & 1 mountain bike). We've got all the summer essentials: 2-3 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, cornhole set etc. The house is also stocked with great rainy day games like jenga, monopoly, cards against humanity, uno etc. The living space has a 65in Samsung smart tv with cable & SONOS surround sound - for watching tv or playing music in the house from your smart phone.
Guests will have access to entire property. Please take time to read The Manual after you make your reservation. It tells you everything you need to know about the house along with check in and check out.
We probably won't have in-person interactions with you, but are always just a phone call or text away. We have a local house watcher and handy man in the neighborhood if something comes up that requires immediate in-person attention. We generally will respond to any question or text within a couple of minutes.
The outdoor hot tub is open year round! The house is surrounded (in the front & back) by a large protected nature preserve so there are no homes across the street or in the back of the house, making it a very quiet and private setting. Essentially no traffic noise and very few homes nearby.
The paddle boards and kayaks that we offer to our guests, free of charge, are a great bonus. Local boating stores in town charge $100/day. We just ask that you please treat them with care and don't drag them across the rocks/sand.
The brand new kitchen with farmhouse sink has everything you need plus some extras. In addition to a standard drip coffee maker, we have an illy espresso machine, and a high-end weber gas grill on the deck plus things like blender, waffle iron, toaster etc..
Please try your best not to track sand in the house. Feel free to wash off feet in the outdoor shower if you're coming from the beach. Please keep hot tub cover on at all times when not in use. Saves energy and helps keeps it clean.
Fashion/portrait & fine art photographer splitting time between NYC and East Hampton. My family is originally from the mid-west and I studied Film at Vassar College. When I'm not working or riding my bike to the beach, I enjoy kayaking, gardening, hiking, traveling and cooking. I came to East Hampton because I fell in love with the quaint bay beaches and amazing natural light it has to offer. I hope you enjoy our home as much as we do.
