Enjoy our private association beach on Seymour pond, watch a famous Cape Cod sunset at the nearby Bay, or swim and fly kites at the ocean, just a short drive away. Close to shopping, dining, cultural events, and the Cape Cod Rail Trail for biking, walking or skating. The Punkhorn conservation area is right next door if you'd prefer a walk in natural habitats (kettle ponds, marshes and forest). Our house is good for couples, families (with kids), and a well-behaved dog. Minimum stay 7 nights.
There are 3 bedrooms each with a full bed. For those who would rather not share a bed, the living room has two futons. Each room in the house has a newly installed ductless A/C unit, which can be set to different temperatures according to the occupant's preferences. Bed linens and towels are not customarily offered on Cape Cod weekly rentals - you may either bring your own or have linens delivered and picked up by a linen service, of which there are several choices (don't let this be a deal breaker...we can talk). There is a small deck with a propane barbecue grill for you to use. The kitchen has everything you'll need to prepare and enjoy meals at home, including lobster picks and crackers, of course!
You will have access to the whole house, except the attic and the owner's section of the basement. The guests' section of the basement is the laundry area, and the kites you'll find there are for your enjoyment (just return them for the next guests, please.)
Although I won't be available in person, I can easily be reached by phone or email, and I do have friendly people in the area ready to lend a hand if needed!
We're new to this process, so if there's anything we've forgotten, please feel free to remind us...we want to be accommodating and to make our guests comfortable, and we're fast learners!
Check out 10:00 a.m.
Trash collection is Tuesday mornings.
Linens are not provided, except by special arrangement, as per Cape Cod custom.
Only the attic and the owner's section of basement are off limits to guests.
Please be considerate of our neighbors - we have to live with them the rest of the year :) And we ask that you treat our home as you would want us to treat yours. Thank you.
We are empty nesters, married to the girl/boy next door (really!) for 34 years. We have one son, of whom we are very proud, and two cats (of whom we are only occasionally proud). We enjoy gardening, cooking, and binge watching the Flavor of the Month series on Netflix or DVD. We're new to hosting, but look forward to learning how to make your stay comfortable and relaxing.
