There are tranquil views of the bustling Medina river from the living room window and many an hour can be enjoyed just watching the yachts come and go throughout the day.
Whilst relaxing in the cottage, the clink clink clink of the famous chain ferry can just be heard ferrying people to and fro across the Medina river. A few short steps from the cottage and you can board the chain ferry to enjoy some time out in Cowes. With its restaurants, pubs, bars, many sailing clubs and marinas it really is the sailing capital of the UK.
This accommodation would be perfect for all sailors who are looking for a base whilst sailing out of Cowes or East Cowes and into the Solent.
As well as the excellent connection to Cowes. The cottage is also only a few moments from the berth of the Southampton ferry so a car is not essential. There are regular and reliable bus services to Ryde and Newport from where you can reach anywhere else on the Island.
The cottage is on the doorstep of the main marinas in both West Cowes and East Cowes making it a perfect base for yachtsmen and women.

The cottage is the perfect place from which to base a touristic holiday because East Cowes and Cowes are both well connected to the rest of the island. Buses accessing the majority of the island can be boarded within a 2 min walk of the cottage and on Saturdays a passenger ferry leaves from Cowes for Portsmouth where you can visit the historic dockyards.
There is a quiet beach at East Cowes with stunning views over the Solent or, just a short walk away, there is Queen Victoria's favorite residence, Osborne House. Step back in time and experience the amazing achievements and family of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
Whatever your taste, there is something for everyone on the Isle of Wight and all the towns and resorts are within easy reach of your base at Church Mews.

We are more than happy for you to bring your dog(s) but please, a maximum of two.
The house is allocated 1 off road parking space and we respectfully request that you do not allow more than one car to be parked on the drive at any one time.
There is a £150.00 damage deposit for this property which is payable separately upon booking. Details of how to pay this deposit will be sent to you directly. The deposit is refundable upon completion of a post stay check of the house and will be returned within 5 working days.
This is an amazing spot to use as a base to visit the whole island with its excellent transport links within minuets walk of the property. It is a perfect bolt hole for visiting yachtsmen and women due to its close proximity to the marinas in both East and West Cowes

Built in 1829 as a congregational church on the banks of the River Medina, the award winning grade 2 listed conversion still boasts the original stained glass windows, sash windows with river views from the lounge and amazing high ceilings.
The mews house has been recently redecorated and has a fully fitted kitchen, 2 bed rooms sleeping 4 and a bath with shower over the top.
We would kindly ask if shoes are removed whilst upstairs and pet are to be kept down stairs
