19th Century Traditional Seafront Mansion
A seafront traditional mansion of 90 sq. m. with an extra 100 sq. m. of terrace, built in 1834 , 5 min from the port, with a breathtaking panoramic view in the Saronic gulf and the nearby islands.
Very nice house. Marianna is a very helpful host. The alone problem was the noise coming from the street between the house and the see: it is the main street of the town and till late in the night there are a lot of motorbikes...
Dear Christophe, Thank you for your feedback, appreciated! In the description of the house it is indeed written that while cars are not allowed in Spetses, motorbikes, horse carriages etc are permitted. Also the house is well described that is exactly in front of the seaside, consequently on the main road, so an amount of noise should be expected. What the real issue is, I believe, the general branding of the island, which is a political issue, as when the visitor hears "no cars allowed" expects something different. The majority of spetsiots, including my family, have several times complained about that, not only for the noise but also it is not as picturesque as it could be. Nevertheless, I am really happy you enjoyed the house! All the best, Mariana
