Cozy room located in a beautiful and large apartment, classically decorated with fine antique furniture. It is in the heart of the old town centre, in front of the Michelangelo's Medici Chapels. Just 5 minuts walking to Central Station and to Duomo.
Cozy room located in a beautiful and large apartment (140 square feet) in the heart of the historical center of Florence, located on the first floor of an old house in front of the Michelangelo's Medici Chapels.
The apartment, classically decorated with fine antique furniture, is composed of: Federico's room, three airbnb rooms (see the two other advices on my account!), a kitchen (complete with microwave and dishwasher etc.), an inner patio-courtyard with pretty plants, a closet with washing machine, two bathrooms with shower-sauna to share with Federico. The apartment is in a great length through the corridor.
The room for rent, nice and spacious, is located at one end of this corridor looking on via Gomitolo dell'Oro, and it's ideal for a couple who want to explore Florence from its heart, the historical and traditional market of San Lorenzo.
The apartment is located next to the church of San Lorenzo, in the area of the historical and traditional "Central Market", just 300 meters from Piazza del Duomo and 800 meters from Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery. Close (450 meters) is also the central train and bus station (Santa Maria Novella), from where you can take buses to get anywhere in the city. From this station you can reach in less than 1 hour Chianti, Tuscany's beautiful sea and the mountains of the Apennines. By train you can quickly arrive in the city of Bologna (37 minutes), Pisa (49 minutes), Siena (88 minutes), Rome (93 minutes).
The apartment is in the center and therefore is close walking distance to all the major cultural and commercial city (theaters, cinemas, libraries, museums, cafes, pubs, restaurants, gyms, supermarkets, shopping, fashion boutiques and antiques).
- Breakfast service is not included but I provide free tea, coffee and butter. Guests have always access to the fridge, kettle and coffee machine.
- We do not have the lift but it's just 18 steps to get the apartment.
- The advice refers to a room not to the entire apartment.
- In the apartment we have 2 bathrooms for 4 bed rooms. Therefore, in case that there are other guests in the other rooms, bathroom has to be shared.
- Due to the market, the room can be sometimes noisy at the end of the night/beginning of the morning.
The Room has a large desk.
Guest have access to the beautiful patio, to the fully equipped kitchen and to the washing machine.
Although breakfast isn’t provided, the guests have access to my coffee, tea, kettle and coffee-machines.
I'll provide you a map of Florence and a list of my suggestions about restaurants, markets, cafes etc.
Don’t forget to communicate through airbnb messenger your scheduled arrival time at least 36 hours before the arrival itself.
CHECK-IN is since 2pm (the place cannot be ready before that time)
CHECK-OUT is by noon.
We can consider the option of earlier check-in (just to drop the luggage and to pick up the keys), and you can ask us to leave the luggage home during the afternoon after checking-out, but it depends on the particular daily situation.
We invite you also to consider the option of luggage storage at the Central Train Station SMN or the Left Luggage Florence (via dei Boni 5r, in the heart of the old town centre), prices are about 1e/hour, 6e/day.
Ciao! My name is Federico, I am in my late thirties and I work mainly in the academic research. I have been working and traveling with airbnb in the last four years and I am enjoying a lot this experience both as an host and as a traveller.
I grew up in Florence and I definitely love my city but I also lived important parts of my life elsewhere in Italy and abroad. During my twenties I was working in politics in Rome and I was one of the founders of an important club-bookstore-café in Florence (La Cité). I speak Italian, French, Spanish and English.
I am a PhD in political theory and that's my major passion beside exploring the world. I love travelling and this passion shapes many aspects and choices of my life. I also like: open-mindedness, (Mediterranean) sea, (Ashtanga) yoga, (Tuscan) red wine, partying, seafood (especially if I cook it), dogs, trekking, cycling, smart people whit some hints of craziness. I love jazz music but I also can hardly say not to a good night out dancing electronic music.
