Stay in our comfy little house with all the amenities of home! The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, the 2nd bedroom has a full bed, and the 3rd bedroom has a futon, allowing for up to six guests comfortably. We're 2 miles from 5 points in East Nashville, and 3 miles from downtown!
This is a 1950's cottage house with two bedrooms, one bathroom, and an addition that was formerly a garage that now serves as a 3rd bedroom/game room.
The master bedroom has a brand new queen-sized bed. We have a full bed in the second bedroom, which also serves as the nursery for our newborn child- so this room also has a crib and changing table in it. The 3rd bedroom has a pull out futon as well as a computer desk and access to many games (in the cabinet next to the futon). This room also has a gas fireplace for cold winter nights, which has the directions for use on it.
The kitchen has an electric stovetop, dishwasher, coffeemaker, sodastream, as well as other basic amenities. Feel free to use any of these. We have paper/plastic/metal recycling in the kitchen, and have a composter in the backyard if you would like to contribute your food scraps to that.
The bathroom is next on our list to renovate. It has a fully functional toilet, sink, and shower, but it is not the most aesthetically pleasing part of the house. The tub is not in the best bubblebath shape, so a shower may be preferable.
The backyard has a new 12x16, partially covered deck being built (not pictured). It will be functional, but not necessarily pretty by the end of June.
Our house is dog-friendly. We have a fenced in backyard that our dog Charli loves!
The living room has a TV (no cable) and DVD player, as well as a Roku which you can use to access Netflix + HBOGo. Near the back entrance, there is a full washer and dryer for your use. Behind the house you are welcome to use our propane grill. We also have a regulation sized dart board, bimini ring game, and many board games in the 3rd bedroom.
Other than helping you check in, the house is all yours!
Please note that Nashville is a train city. While we're not directly adjacent to the train tracks, we are pretty close. The train can be heard fairly clearly throughout the day and night. We aren't heavy sleepers, yet we have no issue with sleeping through it. If you are a very light sleeper, this might be tough for you.
We would only ask that you remember that this is our home, so we would love for you to treat it as your own.
I am part of a trio: me, my partner Andy, and our newborn daughter. Andy and I have been married for 5 years now and are interested in art, music and nature. We love to travel and do a lot, especially in the summers. We are both teachers who spend the school year saving money and during our three month vacation, we spend it all on traveling to see cool places and meet cool people. However, being teachers in the US we are not rich and therefore have to travel as cheaply as we can. This makes us very interested in using sites like this, since it saves a little money and helps us stay in awesome places!
