We had a wonderful stay at Minglewood. Jamie and Sally have spectacular taste and truly transformed 800 sq feet to feel open and welcoming. Love that everything is so unassuming and breezy, but yet there is a built in home theater. Fun little surprise! We enjoyed the indoor wood stove on the cooler night we we there and the outdoor fire put on the warmer nights. We would definitely return!

This was our second time staying here. Better than we remembered (and we loved it the first time). From the flowers on the table to the movie projector the entire space is outstanding!! We would absolutely stay here again.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Freeport then this is it! Everything about this place and it's host are great. The home was clean and tasteful furnished. The side yard with fire pit was a wonderful touch on a summer/fall night. There was fresh muffins in the kitchen(which were delicious!) and I'd like to mention this absolutely beautiful open beam ceiling in the main room. You will feel right at home and definitely not want to leave!

Minglewood was fantastic. We were in town for the lobsterman Triathlon and this place was literally on the course. My wife was able to see me 4 times during the race from the comfort of the deck chairs at the cottage. Jamie was even nice enough to bring them out to the road so she was more comfortable. In addition, this was probably the most comfortable bed I've had at an airbnb. The night before the race I was able to get fantastic sleep which helped immensely for my experience. A+ accommodations!

Jamie and Sally's converted barn studio was the perfect home-base for a nature-filled getaway to Maine with my girlfriend and our greyhound! The barn is set back from the road and has a beautiful backdrop of trees, providing both privacy and peaceful sounds of nature. We spent some nights in the adirondack chairs, taking in the fresh air and beautiful night sky. Other nights, we made a fire in the fire pit or the wood burning stove and watched a movie in front of the crackling fire. It's a short 15 minute drive to Portland for scenic trails along the bay and peninsula, tons of shops worth visiting, and a huge Trader Joe's for groceries. You can drive 5 minutes in the opposite direction to Freeport to check out LL Bean's flagship store as well as plenty of clothing outlets if you traveled too light. Fall is a great time to visit, just as the leaves are starting to change colors. We hope to visit again, perhaps when there's snow on the ground.

My husband and I stayed here on our first night of our road trip through New England. Minglewood is the perfect little cottage - tucked away for a quiet retreat but also close enough to Freeport and Portland if you want to get out. We enjoyed soaking up the decor and craftsmanship of the cottage, as well as the modern amenities such as cable and a projector. Highly recommend and Minglewood is definitely on my list when I return for my next New England trip!!

5 stars for the Minglewood! Jamie and Sally have outdone themselves in the airbnb world. We spent our 1-year anniversary here and had the most enjoyable time. The place is so quaint and beautifully built! Easy drive to downtown Freeport and 15 min drive to downtown Portland. Wonderful location if you want to take quiet walks, runs, bike rides, and then enjoy a night out on the town with restaurants and shopping. We will most definitely be back!

We acquired Minglewood 6 years ago when we bought our house. At the time, it was literally lying on the ground in a state of disrepair. James, a skilled carpenter by trade, transformed the building into what you see today. In our spare time, we can be found skiing, hiking, paddling and sailing in the Northwoods with our dog Tuck.
