Our home is comfortable, warm and welcoming. We are within walking distance of the Blue Mountains National Park and Echo Point. We are very close to walking trails in the National Park and there are amazing views over the Jamison Valley at the end of our street. If you want shops and restaurants, it is a 15 min walk to the shops in Katoomba.
The spare room is very comfortable, private and clean. There is a double bed (with an electric blanket) and a private ensuite with shower and toilet.
Our house is a 25-30 min walk from Katoomba Train Station, so it is a bit of a hike, especially if you have bags. If you arrive on a weekend, we are happy to pick you up or drop you back to the station. There are also plenty of taxis at the train station and it is a short fare (approximately $8 AUD).
We would prefer it if guests did not use the kitchen to make meals. It's absolutely fine to make yourself a cup of tea (any time) or to prepare some sandwiches or food for trekking with but our kitchen is not large enough to accommodate multiple people cooking a meal.
We live in the beautiful Blue Mountains (approximately 2 hours from Sydney CBD). Our home is walking distance (5 mins) to the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park. At the end of our street, there are breathtaking views over the valley, gorgeous sunsets and easy access to lots of good walking trails in the National Park.
We are both passionate about art, music, good wine and food and travelling to new destinations. We also share our home with Jemima, our very friendly, ageing mini fox terrier, half a dozen chickens and the occasional sick possum.
We respect the privacy of our guests but there may be times when our lives intersect and this must be done with good grace and mutual respect. We will not tolerate any form of discrimination, overt rudeness or animal cruelty in our home.
