Lovely hosts, we got there a little bit later than expected due to traffic and they were very understanding. Elena, Saverio's sister, and their mother showed us the place and explained to us where were the places we needed to go for essential stuff, bakery, supermarket and the closest good restaurant. Besides the goods they brought to us straight from their farm or neighboring farms, olive oil, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggs, a basil to die for (I wish I could post a photo of it)...
The house is very spacious, well ventilated, cleaned and comfortable for three of us and our dog. There was room for 3 more people and still it would continue being very comfortable. We had our dinners in the terrace, where we could have a beautiful view of the region landscape (lots of olives trees) and the Monte Argentario at dusk!
Anything you need, they are right there just few steps of the house.
The town is quiet but still with few restaurants. We loved sitting and eating at Ape Regina, and at Il Rialto we found the staff are very friendly, besides the food being good.
We explore few vineyards in the region, all of them are 10 to 15 mins away from the house. We got few cases for our collection. The Celestina Fé can't be missed!
And the beaches, what a beautiful coast. You can drive less than 30 mins and be at the great beach of Marina Alberese, or drive a little bit more to explore Cala Violina in Scarlino. All of them you will find bathrooms, food and parking.
We were really happy that we choose this place to spend our summer vacation of 2016! If we go back to Tuscany one day we would definitely stay in the same house!
