We are looking at being away for this period and have not settled yet on whether to rent this out or not as a whole appartment - with two double beds in two rooms. We prefer a booking for the whole time. Parking is easy close to our place and is paid 6 p.m.-midnight. I can arrange a visitor's fee for 12 euros for the whole period. It is a 14 min walk from Hollandspoor station.
There is access to the street through the back door, so you have more privacy entering and exiting. The kitchen is basic and later it will be more set up.
You have access to all rooms except our own bedroom which is in the front part of the ground floor appartment. Your room is at the other end so you have a lot of privacy.
We are happy to offer tips, although we are only just moving in ourselves. However there are lots of cafes, shops, etc, all within a 10 min walk. Parking is not free anywhere in the Hague but where we live it is paid parking from 6 pm to 12 midnight and I can arrange a visitor's parking ticket for you for 3 Euros per night if I have 24 hours notice. Otherwise it costs 1.70 per hour to pay using the meter. We generally leave you to have the privacy at the table in the backyard but you are free to approach us in the front living room where we work at computers, with questions. We are freelance translators, designers and artists.
We are sculptors, and we have built the double bed as a very sturdy bed with deco elements. And we are gradually turning the bnb into an artist statement, adding custom made shelving and furniture. Photos will be added once these are made.
We expect that you will have things you want to do and see and we will do our best to give you some tips. We don't mind if you arrive late and generally coming and going is not a problem. We expect that you are likely to be out most of the time. Smoking is only possible outside in the backyard and if you supply your own ashtray. There is a rubbish bin along the outer wall you can put your ash into please do not leave this lying around. No smoking of marijuana is allowed in our backyard. We don't allow pets but a guide dog is fine.
