Spacious and bright house, with huge living room and open kitchen. The large bedroom and the big room have sliding doors opening onto the deck.
Magnificent view of the mountains and the pond. An oasis of peace and beauty.
The view, and silence
My bedroom is the only off-limit part of the house
I will not be there but will be available 24/7 by phone or texts. I also have a local person who can help, should the need arises.
Note that a cat live in the house occasionally, but not while you are there.
Also note that the mattress is a firm memory foam mattress.
Cell phone coverage is decent only with Verizon, it is otherwise spotty. However, you can use your cell phone with wi-fi calling; that's what i use with AT&T when i am up there and it works perfectly well.
There is also a landline phone that you can use.
Internet is provided by satellite, therefore data is limited (i.e. no streaming).
If the internet does not work, you need to restart the modem. Sometimes i have to do it once or twice a day, sometimes not at all.
For coffee, there is a Krups grinder and a SterlingPro French Press.
There is a Zojirushi bread machine. I left one easy recipe for you in a drawer.
There is yeast in the fridge that you can use.
I am a French American woman who has lived in New York for 30 years! That was love at first sight when i arrived in the East Village in 1986, and my love for the city is as vibrant as ever!
Harlem has been my home since 2002. This is an amazing neighborhood, the people, the music, culture and architecture make it unique and rich. I would not live anywhere else in the world!!
I now also offer my house in the Catskills for rent. I fell in love with the region, it's beautiful and sereine. I go there to re-energize, and to find solitude.
