Our village was built around the oldest glass blowing industry in France. The glass blowers are still there but not as numerous as they were once upon a time. Our house was built for one of the owners, monsieur de Massey around two hundred years ago. It is a friendly house with light blue shutters, set in a parc with a large pond. We have three bedrooms, one with its own bathroom at €65 a night ( two adults). The family room has a double bed and bunk beds (suitable for two adults and two children) also at € 60 a night. It has a wash basin in the room with hot and cold running water and its bathroom is just two steps away on the landing. The other bedroom has two single beds and costs €50 a night. It also has a wash basin with hot and cold running water and the bathroom on the landing. All bedrooms are large and spacious with original wooden floors.
Our village is surrounded by rolling country site and large forests. Great for walking and rambling. In summer there are brocante markets in the villages for treasure hunting and of course there is always the glass factory to visit where (if the glass blowers are in the right mood) you might be given the opportunity to blow a bit of glass yourself!
The easy way to travel around is by car or bike. We have lots of bicycles you can borrow free of charge. There is not really any public transport close by, but we would be happy to pick you up from as close as you can get to our place!
