Vintage 1962 Aloha Trailer has a comfortable full-sized bed, dining area and propane stove. The ice box takes block ice. There is a chamber pot tucked beneath the bed, nearby compost toilets, plus flush toilets in the main house.
After a hike in the nearby mountains, a stroll up Cow Creek, Salmon or Steelhead fishing, or a raft or kayak trip down the Salmon River, you might want to return to the camper to freshen up. A pitcher of water and guest soaps are provided. There are also bath towels in the baskets above the bed for trips to the Mavens' Haven swimming hole or the wood-fired sauna. There is also a regular shower for your use in the downstairs area of the main house.
Mavens' Haven has a full kitchen for guests who wish to cook meals. Please clean up afterwards. No one lives in the main building, it is a communal space and guests are welcome to make use of it. There are great spaces for reading and relaxing, there.
The orchard and gardens produce fresh vegetables most of the year. Guests are encouraged to help themselves when preparing meals ~ there are always fresh eggs in the refrigerator for your use.
In the heat of summer, a Salmon River eddy, just below the property, offers a safe place for a cooling dip.
Guests mingle at the main guest house. Jim and Linda, neighbors living in the doublewide trailer next to the pickle ball court, can manage most situations.
Guests will have access to the gardens, the main Mavens' Haven house with kitchen, library and shower. There is also a game room for cards and board games, as well as a downstairs movie area. WIFI is also available. There is no cell phone reception at the Haven or Lucile area. We do have a land line if a phone call needs to be made.
Clean up kitchen after use.
Entire property is non-smoking.
No pets due to free-ranging chickens.
