This is our family home, very comfortable throughout with all mod cons such as 42 inch cable TV, wifi, Sonos music system (which you'd have to access through your own computer/iPad), washing machine, fully equipped kitchen etc.
We live in Charlton, Greenwich, which is safe, leafy and green, with all essential shops, a couple of restaurants and pubs in walking distance and a short bus ride into central Greenwich - check out the link on airbnb, Greenwich, famous for it's Meridian line, is lively and buzzing, with historic sites, a huge beautiful park and arty Greenwich market.
On the other side is Blackheath, less well known but equally beautiful, with wide and open spaces, good shopping, outstanding restaurants and pubs for all tastes.
We have excellent connections into Central London - 17 minutes by train to London Bridge, 20 to Charing Cross or Cannon Street, or by bus Jubilee line which brings you direct to many tourist destinations (Westminster, Bond Street, London Bridge, Baker Street with Madame Tussauds to name but a few).
You won't find anything of similar grandeur with such spectacular views in a similar price range in London.
You can have the whole house excluding the wine cellar and a small study in which we'll keep personal belongings to ensure there is space for your luggage and clothes.
We have a cleaner available on request and someone to help if there are problems. We ask that you strip your bedding at the end of stay, and leave the house in a reasonably clean condition, but the end of stay clean is included in the rental price.
Please note that we have two cats, which won't be there during your stay, but if you are allergic to cats this may affect your stay even in their absence.
This is our home, filled with art and comfortable furniture and lighting - a perfect place to unwind after the buzz of London.
This is our home, and we leave everything, including art and ornaments in place for your enjoyment. Therefore we ask that you respect our home and would treat it as you would your own. If you choose to move furniture please make sure that you leave everything as you found it, but please do not move anything else (pictures, decorations etc)
The house is a no-smoking home, so if any of you do smoke please use the outside spaces to do so. We empty out enough space for you to unpack your clothes in the bedrooms where possible and lock away excess personal belongings in the study. If you are allergic to cats be aware of the fact that the house usually is home to two cats, but they go on holiday with us.
We are a family of 4, Deryk, my husband is a GP, I am a yoga teacher (hence the yoga studio in the home) with 2 lovely daughters, 11 and 13 years old. We rent out our home when we go to spend time in our second home in France, which is during all school holidays, so you probably wouldn't meet us. When you are in the house you will see that we love art and books. My life motto? Be nice.
Hope you like our home and contact me if you have any questions.
