Our home is a typical Darwin style elevated house - you live downstairs while our family lives upstairs. Enjoy the lush tropical garden, read a book or just relax, and jump into our spacious pool - a daytime cool down or nighttime dip under the stars.
We have lots of local information, maps, points of interest and current events as well as our favourite hangouts and day trips etc. and will happily answer any questions you may have.
Our home is child-friendly and we are looking forward to sharing our home, garden and pool with other families.
We have a friendly family dog, that will welcome you but otherwise leave you alone (unless you want to play fetch :-).
Smoking outside only.
Please turn airconditioning off when heading out.
We are happily sharing our family home with you and hope you will look after it and be considerate.
My husband Tim and I live with our two kids (born in 2013 and 2016) in Darwin, Australia. We love our elevated house and the tropical outdoor lifestyle, enjoying our lush garden. We are located within 1km of Darwin's largest shopping centre, hospital, Charles Darwin University and 2km from the beach and cafe's. The airport is a short 7 min drive. We are looking forward to sharing it with you.
We are both well travelled and are grateful for the many people and places it allowed us to meet and visit. I am originally from Germany and travelled all over Europe, some other favourite destinations include Cuba, Laos and Japan. My husband grew up in Perth and travelled a lot allover Asia. He has also lived in Harare short term and we both lived together in Germany for a year before settling in Australia for the meantime. We are a bit nomadic and like to move - from Sydney/Melbourne to Perth, Newman and Darwin - who knows what's next.
But in the meantime, we let the world come to us and are looking forward to hosting guests in our family home here in beautiful, tropical Darwin. Stay in a home away from home while exploring the many treasure the Top End has to offer.
