Two bedroom apartment in Bos en Lommer, Amsterdam. Nice quiet street, close to main roads, next to Erasmus park. The neighbourhood is safe and green. The main bedroom is at the back of the house, and has French windows, opening to a balcony that's overlooking the communal garden. This balcony has sun until noon and is the perfect place for a morning coffee or breakfast. When it's hot, this is the perfect place to chill at night! The room has a very comfortable King size bed (160x200), excellent (memory foam) mattresses. Build in closet. Private sink.
The second bedroom is a little side room of the living-room, that can be closed with a curtain (or sliding doors, but these do not work well!!). This room has a single bed/bench, that can be pulled out into a double bed (160x200m). Both this room and the living-room have acces to the other balcony, in the front of the house, that has afternoon sun.
The house is build in the 30's and has period details, like glass-stained windows. I'm trying to keep this style, and since most of my furniture is family heritage they fit this style perfectly! Do not expect too much luxury, the kitchen and bathroom are both small and do not have state of the art appliances, but they are clean and everything you will need is there. I like to cook so the kitchen is well equipped!
I have an extensive collection of tour books, information leaflets and extra information of the city.
If you tell me your personal interests, I will do my very best to give you personal tips and detailed information on where to go and how to get there!
To make transport easier I will explain the transport system and give you use of some local rechargeable public transport cards that will help you to save considerably on travel expenses.
Friends will probably tell you I am a kind, spontaneous and slightly chaotic person. I love to cook, read, go climbing, go out with friends and spend time with my family. I used to work at the university as a researcher in psycho-linguistics, now I work as a free-lance editor and text writer, working mostly from home. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and share stories with them. I love my house, neighbourhood and city and like to share them!
