Enjoy your Charleston stay in a traditional Charleston Single home on Johns Island only 9 miles from the historic downtown Charleston and 11 miles to Folly Beach. Enjoy the quiet of Johns Island with easy access to all the greatness that the low country has to offer.
I have nice room with a comfortable Queen size bed and private bath in the hall. The room has a chair to relax and just across the hall is access to the upstairs Piazza which is yours to enjoy during your stay. My home is 9 miles from downtown Charleston which is about a 20 minute beautiful drive as well as 11 miles to Folly Beach. Johns Island itself is a beautiful quiet island community. On the Island we have the Angel Oak tree and America's only Tea Plantation, the Charleston Tea Plantation. You can visit both while you are here on Johns Island. I offer a very comfortable home with true southern hospitality for you to really enjoy Charleston.
My home is a quiet place where I live with my 17 year old cat Gus, and a great Beagle named Cleatus. My cat Gus does not go into the quest bedroom at all and is very friendly. He will rub on you and showcase that true southern politeness. Cleatus is also very friendly and will become your pal during your stay. But both animals will leave you alone once you are welcomed in to our home.
You will have access to the entire Home including the kitchen and refrigerator if needed. Wifi is also available and cable is available in the living room.
I work from home and will be around during the day in my office. I can be as interactive as any guest would like me to be in that I can show the guests Charleston or can provide suggestions and directions as needed.
I serve up Bagels Fruit, Juice and coffee/tea each morning for you to enjoy.
I am Rick and I live in Charleston on Johns Island. I love the beach, good food, cooking, movies, and HISTORY. I work for a technology non profit called TechSoup Global. We are working to make the world a better place through technology. I also own a small coffee shop in downtown Charleston called The BEARDED cafe. I love to travel the U.S. and particularly love history and historical places which is what brought me to Charleston and what keeps me here. I am very easy going and love to socialize and entertain and I get along with most anyone.
