The apartment is located on the 3rd and last floor of an old XVI century building (no lift). Its built over two levels 65 sqm with the terrace of 20 sqm at the top. It is furnished with some nice pieces of antique Tuscan, Provencal and design style furnitures and has a great natural light. Hardwood floors in the living room and bedroom, central heating and A/C in all rooms. The apartment hosts comfortably 2+2 people.
On the ground floor you have the entrance and the living room with 2 big windows and a fire place, a comfortable sofa that you can easily transform into a double bed if you are more then 2. If you are tired of sightseeing you can relax in the sofa, we have Sky satellite tv with movies, DVD and if you need to use internet there is DSL WI-FI througout the house, even in the terrace.
On the 2nd floor you will find the open kitchen with sitting area, fully furnished with gas hob and eletric oven, fridge & freezer, toaster, Nespresso coffe machine, dishwasher & washing machine/dryer.
One bathroom with shower.
The bedroom has a frenchsize 160 bed, a big closet and drawers.
On the 3rd and last floor you have the private terrace that has a panoramic view of Florence. Fully equipped with a barbeque and a dining table and chairs where you can have your meals, a lounge area where you can enjoy the sun and take an apertif watching the sunset over Bellosguardo hill. If you are here in the right season this will probably be the "room" you will use the most.
Via Romana is the main street going from Ponte Vecchio to Porta Romana. Located in the lovely Oltrarno area in the centre of Florence. Just a few steps away from Pitti Palace, Boboli Gardens and the Santo Spirito Church to name a few, this part of Florence is one of the last intact places of the city, in which you can feel the real atmosphere of Florence. In the street you will find small shops for all you needs, the butcher, the wine store, the bakery, just around the corner close to the park there is also a little fruit & vegetable market in the morning. There is also a supermarket open every day just 3 doors away. There is also some very good restaurants and bars in the surroundings and we will be very happy to give you some suggestions.
Our apartment is perfect for those who like to walk and discover the town by foot, thought you can take the bus (there is a bustop 150 mt away) there will be no need, just go straight on and in 10 minutes walk you will be on Ponte Vecchio. And then just cross the old bridge and you will reach the Uffizi and the Duomo.
The apartment is not suitable for kids or people with limited mobility or allergic to dogs.
