Come stay at my place while I'm away! Bright airy bedroom, spacious common area, great kitchen, friendly flat. Steps to Times Square, but far enough—2 blocks—from insanity. Walk to Penn Station, Grand Central, Herald Sq, Central Park, and the NYPL!
I love my bedroom here in Hell's Kitchen, and I hope you will, too. ^_^ It's bright and airy, with high ceilings, white walls, a tall north-facing window, plenty of light and plenty of space. It contains
* a queen bed with fluffy white sheets
* a nightstand with a soft-white reading lamp
* silver-gray room-darkening curtains
* a cozy plush carpet
* a denim bean bag
* a dresser with plenty of space to spread out your stuff
* a writing desk (with its own halogen overhead and laptop outlets right nearby)
* a full-height mirror
* a clothes-hanging rack
* and a steel-string guitar
all of which you're welcome to use.
Our apartment also has a real common room (a rarity in Manhattan), with white leather couches and a TV, a dining table and chairs, and two big windows facing the street. The kitchen has a big sink, gas stove, high-quality cooking equipment, and enough counter space to actually function.
You will also have access to the roof, which has amazing views of downtown New York!
You will be sharing the apartment with my flat-mates, two girls and one quiet guy from France. We're a casual, friendly, clean, multilingual, and well-traveled bunch!
You will have access to the stairway (it's a walk-up), the roof, the bedroom, and the common spaces. If I'm not home, I'll leave a spare key with a roommate or in a lock box for you.
I will be away during your stay, but you can ask me any questions by phone/message.
As there is only one bathroom in the apartment, please be considerate and don't hog it. ^_^ There's a mirror and hair dryer in the room for you to use there~~
While there's no laundry in the building, there's a very good laundromat / wash-n-fold just around the corner. (You can use my detergent and the IKEA bag behind the hamper, which is perfect for carrying clothes.) I will leave a stack of quarters on the bookshelf as well.
The wifi code is printed on the back of the modem next to the TV.
1. Be respectful
2. Clean up after yourself
3. No food in the bedroom
Easy peasy :)
Please be sure to include cleaning your stuff out the fridge before you leave! ^_^
