The apartment is located within 4 minutes of the underground (subway) stations Montparnasse (lines 4, 6, 12, 13), Duroc (lines 13, 10), and Pasteur (lines 6, 12) - however the closest underground is only a mere 80 metres away Falguiere (line 12). At Montparnasse, not only will you find a bus station which will get you almost anywhere in Paris, but also a train station which will take you anywhere to the south west of Paris, as well as car rental facilities and taxi ranks. And also a direct bus station stop (direct access to the airports). Very easy to get everywhere by bus, subway or velib: "Les champs elysées", " Le sacré coeur " , "La Madeleine", "Le Louvre" " Notre Dame"...
Around the apartment:
The apartment is only a 7 minutes walk from the Bon Marche and Saint Germain des Pres, Odéon, 10 minutes the Luxembourg Gardens, 15 minutes from the Musée d'Orsay or Le Panthéon, 15 minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower. Close to shops, cinemas, museums, famous restaurants such as La Coupole, Le Select, Le Lutetia, underground (subway) and velib station (the Paris bicycle rental) just around the corner. A perfect place to explore Paris.
The neighbourhood is lovely, many little local shops where you can get your daily groceries. At least 2 fantastic bakeries within a 1 minute walk from the front door, with some exquisite French croissants and "pain au chocolats", as well as some daily surprises which one can always look forward to.
There is a charming market set up one block away, 2 times a week for a full Parisian experience! wednesday and saturday called "Marché Boulevard Edgard Quinet"
I will take care of you, leaving you a variety of ideas and addresses not to be missed during your stay in Paris. More than an apartment, a home, a place to discover or return to Paris and feel as though you belong...
I have just finished the paintings, so it is very fresh and clean...
By the way, Why don't you improve your french in the same time of visiting Paris? If you want to improve your french, I do provide french "conversation" lessons around a cup of tea, a coffee or a visit tour in Paris, if you are interested please share with me your needs.
I can also have children from different country who need to improve their french for their exams... I can have two young adults in the same time, sharing one bedroom (with two single beds). Be free to ask if you are interested.
Salad bar every thuesday
And if you stay in Paris a Tuesday ( but sometimes, the day change) Don't miss " Les apéros de Jane" This a place to be, to live the real parisian life where Guests from everywhere and Parisian will share a moment. A place where you could share your Parisian experience, museums… or just to share a nice evening and feel as if you where living here :), meeting new friends…. :) Well if you are interested, it's only 10 euros per person and i'm sure you will enjoy. If you are interested, let me know i will check if there is that kind of evening when you'll be there…
