I'm renting out one room in my flat, suitable for backpackers as well as traveling families.
Old charming apartment with modernized bathroom and kitchen in the very popular and creative neighborhood Neukölln.
Within a few minutes are some of the nicest bars, cafes and restaurants in the city, as well as supermarkets and good public transportation.
Even though Berlin is huge you are able to get to all the interesting sites pretty quickly from this location!
IT'S ONE ROOM, NOT THE WHOLE APARTMENT, I live in another room of the apartment :)
The room is quiet at night because it is facing the back yard, it gets lots of light and has old wooden floors, high ceilings with stucco and it is of course furnished!
The room has:
- 1 double bed (140 cm/fits ca 2 people) + 1 double mattress which will be on the floor if you are more people (140 cm/fits ca 2 people)
- Sheets and towels for use during your stay
- Furniture; couch with small table, clothing rack, nightstand, lamps with cosy light
The room is not huge (15 m2) but if you have no problem sharing a smaller room it's theoretically okay to come with 5 people (if 3 people then squeeze in on 1 mattress, or I could also offer you a comfortable couch to sleep on). :)
The apartment is situated on the 3rd floor in a house built in 1905 on the popular Weserstrasse in the center of the very hip and trendy neighborhood Neukölln. The area is filled with nice dim lit bars with vintage furniture and cozy cafes as well as many nice restaurant options!
BATHROOM AND KITCHEN:
The bathroom and kitchen are modernized and the apartment therefore has a nice mix of new and old. The kitchen gets lots of light and is wonderful for breakfast or to just relax with a book in!
- Wireless internet
- Washing machine
- Feel free to use shower cream
- Kitchen with the usual utilities
- Free car parking on the street
Make yourselves at home!
ALSO SEE MY AIRBNB GUIDEBOOK! Just ask me anything you are wondering about, knock on my door or call or write me anytime if I'm not home! I'm happy to give tips on parties, events, exhibitions etc! It's entirely up to you if you want to do your own thing or not, I'm happy to meet new people of course, but at the same time I often have a lot of work and school to take care of!
NO PARTIES or afterparties in the apartment and no loud noise or music after 22.00 in the evening! (Of course dinner or pre-drinks with friends in the kitchen is ok, it's the same as in most places i guess :))
PARKING is free on the streets in the area!
If you are a very picky person or expect a luxurious hotel experience this is not the place for you to book! :) So please note that this is a shared house, it is not a hotel where professional cleaners come every day!
*Please be QUIET WHILE WALKING UP THE STAIRS so that the NEIGHBORS are not disturbed!
*NO PARTIES IN THE APARTMENT AND NO LOUD MUSIC OR NOISES AFTER 22.00 THE EVENING, again the neighbors can get angry (Of course dinner or pre-drinks with friends is ok, its the same as in most places i guess :))
***NO ILLEGAL DOWNLOADING or STREAMING of copyrighted material through the internet because in Germany you often get sued for this and have to pay up to 1000 EURO FINE, even if one just does it once!
***Please DO NOT GO OUT ON THE ROOF through the windows, it can be dangerous and the neighbors get angry! Please also do not leave any clothes out to dry there, even if it's convenient!
***NO SMOKING inside******
****Please DON'T WALK WITH SHOES indoors or wet feet on the wooden floors****
****Please put the shower curtain inside the shower edge and not outside when you shower, so that the bathroom doesn't get flooded.*** :)
***** You can also not bring drug dealers or prostitutes into the flat or do other things along those lines! Friends have had guests who have done this so its best to be perfectly clear! *****
***Otherwise you are free to do whatever you like AS LONG AS YOU DON'T DISTURB THE NEIGHBORS! You can come and go as you like and cook and use the fridge and the washing machine. But please note that this is my home and I would expect you to treat it the way you would want someone to treat your home :)
I'm originally from Sweden, I currently study Fine Arts at the Berlin University of the Arts, I mainly work with photography and film, previously I have studied and worked with traditional film making and also studied Sociology. I work as a translator to pay rent. I can give you advice on art galleries/events and museums and/or the party scene if that's your thing. I like to read a lot and I'm sure you will find a book to your liking at my house. I'm very easy going I would say!
