We have some extra space in our 3 bedroom, 3 bath shotgun house in the St. Roch neighborhood. The space is one private bedroom and bath with a kitchenette. The kitchenette includes everything you would need to feel like home. The space is attached to our main house but is closed off when we have visitors via a hallway door that locks. You will have a private exterior entrance as well and as much or as little interaction with us as the hosts as you'd like.
The cozy private apartment attached to our single shotgun house is perfect for adventurers who are ready to be active out in New Orleans and explore all that it has to offer and then come back to a comfortable place to rest and clean up before heading right back out there. We've provided many small touches to make your stay as home-y as possible. There is a small TV with Chromecast so you can "cast" shows from a computer or smart phone to the TV. We provide internet access. There is a small fridge to store drinks, some food items, and any yummy leftovers you pick up along the way. There is a microwave to re-heat any leftovers and a coffee maker with coffee, sugar, and non-dairy creamer for those sleepy mornings. The space has it's own private entrance that you will have the key to so you can come and go as you please without disturbing the rest of the house. We do have a silly, friendly rescued greyhound who lives in the house so we hope you are dog-friendly in the off-chance you get to meet him. There is a washer and dryer in the space you may use.
You will have access to the private bedroom, bathroom, and small kitchenette with a table, chairs, mini fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. There is space for one car in our off-street parking but also plenty of space on the street to park as well. Your apartment is completely private. There is a door in between our space and yours that we keep locked unless we've arranged for a visit with you. :-)
We live on property in the other 2 bed/bath section of the house so we will be able to help with any questions or concerns. We provide a few tips for navigating the neighborhood/city- you know they're pretty good if they come from locals.
We really want you to enjoy yourselves when you're here. The house is our biggest accomplishment thus far so we ask that you respect the space and take care of it as if it were your own home. If coming back very late, we ask for a bit of quiet- we will do the same. When leaving, please make sure the door is locked.
