Firstly I must say that we do attend the properties on a regular basis, are available by phone and internet, and respond to any Client problems immediately. The issues stated below were not mentioned to us until the day Olivier checked out, allowing us not time to rectify or comment on these issues. We did immediately investigate these issues and respond accordingly.
THE DAMP: this has never been a problem in the past using the electric wall heaters installed in the property. The previous occupant, Fabienne, who was there the previous month, experiencing similar weather conditions, using electric heating had such problems.( PLEASE SEE HER REVIEW BELOW). However, to save money on the electricity costs Olivier borrowed a butane heater, which they placed in the upstairs lounge and kitchen area. They claim to have used two 13.5kg Butane bottles per week. The combustion of burning 27 kilos of butane creates 41 kg of water, as vapour. What Olivier did was created their own steam room, providing the perfect environment for damp to exist.
TELEVISION: On the day that Oliver left I tested the TV / Satellite system. By changing the source button on the TV controller to the correct source settings I was able to obtain good pictures on for both. This situation could have been overcome had they mentioned it when they first experienced problems.
INTERNET (WiFi): The internet has a central router which services, via repeaters, 3 properties. I checked the internet access on the day that Oliver left and it was working perfectly OK. I also checked with the clients in the other 2 properties, and they were not aware of any problems with the Wifi. It is not only the WiFi supply that can creates problems can also be the source you are trying to access. We have suffered poor quality service form (Hidden by Airbnb) over the last moth, where all other sources we use have been fine. We do not know what they were trying to assess so can not really evaluate why they were having this problem.
SUMMARY: The moral is if you have a problem discuss it with us ... we accept things can go wrong ..... we will always attend to any issues you have immediately.
